Who Is Bade Sahab in Dhurandhar 2? The Dawood Ibrahim Mystery — Finally Solved

Dawood Ibrahim Mystery: Not Salman Khan. Not Emraan Hashmi. The answer will surprise you.

For months, one question consumed every Bollywood group chat: Who is Bade Sahab? Now that Dhurandhar: The Revenge has stormed into theatres on March 19, 2026 — the answer is finally out. And it’s nothing like anyone expected.

The Big Reveal: Dawood Ibrahim Is “Bade Sahab”

After weeks of speculation, the makers confirmed that Danish Iqbal plays the elusive “Bade Sahab” — a character based on Dawood Ibrahim, positioned as the central mastermind behind the film’s conflict.

Far from a mere cameo, Bade Sahab is the primary catalyst for the entire film, operating from the shadows and directing the actions of Major Iqbal (Arjun Rampal), posing the ultimate challenge to protagonist Jaskirat Singh Rangi.

Key Facts at a Glance

Who Is Danish Iqbal?

This isn’t a random casting call — it’s a masterstroke.

Danish Iqbal is an NSD (National School of Drama) alumnus who also holds a Master’s degree in Classical Acting from the Central School of Speech and Drama, London. He has nearly three decades of theatre experience and earned wider recognition as Dilshad Mirza in Maharani 2.

Critics noted that casting a seasoned character actor rather than a mainstream star adds a layer of grounded, chilling realism to the antagonist.

The Rumour Mill That Went Haywire

Earlier speculation had pointed to Emraan Hashmi, Salman Khan, and even Akshay Kumar — but the suspense has been definitively resolved.

The buzz originated from a cryptic reference in the first Dhurandhar — Bade Sahab’s name appeared in Hamza Ali Mazari’s diary, and eagle-eyed fans had been theorizing ever since.

Box Office Verdict?

The film is already rewriting records. Dhurandhar: The Revenge neared the ₹100 crore mark on its opening day, with over ₹50 crore earned in paid previews alone — signalling massive audience interest.

Bottom Line: The Dawood Ibrahim angle in Dhurandhar 2 isn’t just a plot twist — it’s the soul of the sequel. Danish Iqbal may not be a household name yet, but after this, he certainly will be.
