The Fairy-Tale Love Story of Gaurav and Akanksha

Akanksha Chamola and Gaurav Khanna’s romance is straight out of a Bollywood script. They met at an audition where Gaurav, immediately smitten, playfully pretended to be inexperienced. He introduced himself as “Rakesh” and offered Akanksha a ride to her next audition.

When she later Googled his real name and discovered he was an established actor, she smiled. Gaurav famously said, “Hasee toh phasee. Main phas gaya” (She smiled and I was hooked. I got trapped).

The couple dated before tying the knot on November 24, 2016, in a grand three-day celebration in Gaurav’s hometown of Kanpur. Nearly nine years into marriage, they’ve been open about their 9-year age difference, with Akanksha being older—something that’s never been an issue for the perfectly matched couple.

Akanksha Chamola’s Television Career

Before becoming known as Gaurav Khanna’s supportive wife, Akanksha built her own television career. She made her acting debut in 2015 with Colors TV’s popular show “Swaragini,” which starred Tejasswi Prakash and Helly Shah in lead roles.

Interestingly, Tejasswi Prakash, who worked with Akanksha Chamola in Swaragini, later worked with Gaurav Khanna in Celebrity MasterChef, creating a full-circle industry connection.

After her debut, Akanksha Chamola appeared in several notable shows:

Bhootu (showcasing her versatility)

Originally from Mumbai, the 41-year-old actress holds a postgraduate degree in Commerce, proving she balanced academics alongside her passion for acting.

The Baby Planning Prediction

During the recent Weekend Ka Vaar episode, celebrity astrologer Jai Madaan visited the Bigg Boss 19 house. When Gaurav asked about becoming a father, Jai Madaan made a shocking prediction that left him elated—she revealed that Akanksha Chamola has started planning for kids!

This prediction is significant because Gaurav has previously discussed his desire to become a father while respecting Akanksha Chamola’s decision to wait. He revealed in an earlier episode with Mridul Tiwari that his wife didn’t want kids at that moment, and he totally respected her choice.

A throwback interview clip has resurfaced online showing the couple discussing baby planning, making Jai Madaan’s prediction even more exciting for fans who’ve been invested in their journey.

As the finale approaches with only nine contestants remaining—Farrhana Bhatt, Kunickaa Sadanand, Gaurav Khanna, Shehbaz Badesha, Amaal Mallik, Tanya Mittal, Malti Chahar, Pranit More, and Ashnoor Kaur—Akanksha Chamola’s powerful entry could be the game-changer that propels her husband to victory.
