Better battery life is a feature of Apple’s newest flagships, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. They can run videos for up to 33 hours, which is four hours longer than the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
However, Apple has also increased the cost of battery replacements in addition to these upgrades. After rising 20% from $99.9 to $119.9 for the iPhone 15 Pro models, the out-of-warranty cost to replace the batteries in the 16 Pro and Pro Max models is now $119.9.

After hiking the price of fixing or replacing the iPhone 14 battery two years ago, Apple has also upped the post-warranty repair and replacement costs for the iPhone 16 Pro series battery. Not the standard 16 or iPhone 16 Plus, but only the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are affected by the change. If the iPhone 16 Pro is no longer covered by AppleCare, the cost of replacing its battery is as follows.
Apple offers a one-year warranty for defective batteries, and if your battery has less than 80 percent of its original capacity, AppleCare Plus plans cover repairs for free.
The 16 Pro and Pro Max’s improved battery performance is expected to appeal to a large number of customers; nevertheless, the higher cost of battery replacements could be a disadvantage, especially for those without access to AppleCare.
Positively, Apple has not increased the cost for battery replacements for the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, so users will still just have to pay the same $99.99. The 16 Pro series may still be an appealing option for customers in spite of the price increase due to the longer-lasting battery and general performance enhancements.
