iPhone 15 Pro Max fails to pass the JerryRigEverything durability test

Unsurprisingly, a growing number of problems have surfaced since the release of the iPhone 15. Apple’s most recent and best iPhones haven’t had it easy; problems with overheating, setup freezing, frame drops, and UI stutters have all been documented, and the most recent one had the iPhone 15 Pro Max failing a bend test.

JerryRigEverything durability test for iPhone 15 series details

Popular YouTuber Zack recently posted a video on his channel, JerryRigEverything, in which he put the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus through the same durability test as the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

In the JerryRigEverything durability test, he proceeded to scrape the rear panel, the ceramic shield glass, and the aluminum frame in the video in the manner he was accustomed to. He also agreed that the ceramic shield glass on the iPhone 15 models is more scratch-resistant than the Gorilla Glass seen on the majority of Android phones. The real test, though, came when he prepared to bend test the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.

The latest iPhone 15 Pro Max smartphone was put through JerryRigEverything’s durability test gauntlet in his most recent YouTube video, despite the iPhone 15 Pro series’ purportedly tougher materials, and JerryRigEverything discovered that the device is not as durable as the marketing would have consumers believe.

The device’s back glass appears to have a complete crack and glass is protruding as a result of the instantaneous crack. In the test, the camera island glass also cracked, demonstrating that the back glass panel is undoubtedly not pressure-resistant in situations like accidentally dropping the iPhone to the floor or sitting on it on the couch.

But for now, it seems to be a major problem, as the cost of replacement seems too expensive. Apple‘s official support website states that the price for replacing the rear glass on the 6.1-inch iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro has dropped to just Rs 14,900, while the price for replacing the rear glass on the bigger 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Plus and iPhone 15 Pro Max has increased to Rs 16,900.
