Yesterday, Ubisoft hosted its launch event in the form of Ubisoft Forward 2020 online as there will not be any E3 due to the pandemic. There were a lot of announcements but the main features were the three games: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Far Cry 6 and Watch Dogs Legion.
So here are all the announcements made:
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
Obviously, this game is getting all the hype and why shouldn’t be as it’s the continuation to one of the most popular game series in history. It was shortly revealed at the Xbox Series X game reveal and its trailer was shown by AMD as it will bundle the game with select Ryzen 3000 and 3000XT CPUs.
The 30-minute gameplay revealed a lot about the upcoming Assassin’s Creed game and shows the game’s onset and background, characters and a bit of its story as well. The graphics look great and truly, gamers will enjoy another title of this massive franchise.
Ubisoft has confirmed the fact that the game will be launched on November 17, 2020, for all platforms including Xbox One X, PS4, and PC although for the next-gen consoles it sates ‘Coming Soon’ which is quite strange.
Far Cry 6
Another exciting title is from Ubisoft is obviously the Far Cry 6 which is the continuation to its another very popular gaming series. Most of the Far Cry series games have been known for its good storyline, gameplay and obviously the graphics.
Far Cry 6 is set on a fictional Caribbean island-inspired by Cuba, ruled as a dictatorship by “El Presidente” Anton Castillo, voiced and modelled after Giancarlo Esposito, better known for his role as Gus Fring from Breaking Bad. He is raising his son Diego, voiced by Anthony Gonzalez, to follow in his rule.
Far Cry 6 will be made available by Ubisoft from February 18, 2021, for all platforms including Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, Xbox One X, PlayStation 4, PC, and the online gaming platform Google Stadia.
Watch Dogs Legion
I personally have been a fan of this series because of its uniqueness and the game itself, so Ubisoft will be launching its next instalment Watch Dogs Legion as early as October 29, 2020.
The gameplay overview trailer shows the intense background of London and the game’s story focuses on the efforts of the London branch of hacker group DedSec in combating a dystopian surveillance state that has taken control of the United Kingdom. The storyline is again very unique with lots of characters, surprisingly, you can even play as NPCs in the game and it undoubtedly has an enthralling graphics.
The next game from the Watch Dogs franchise will make its way to all current platforms including Xbox One X, PlayStation 4, and PC butas for now, the game for Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 is ‘coming soon’.
Hyper Scape
This is Ubisoft’s new Battle Royal game, rules are quite similar to the ones in the market, where there will be another 99 players you need to compete with and a team can be formed with a maximum of three members.
After landing to the battleground, you have to look for the weapons, medical kits, and all to eliminate enemies until you or your team become the last one standing there. You can check out all the details of the game from here.
