Angelino to join Hoffenheim on loan for 22/23 with buy option

Barcelona interested in Man City's Angeliño, currently loaned to Leipzig

Hoffenheim have reached an agreement to sign Angelino from RB Leipzig. The Spanish left-back will be making the move on an initial loan deal, with the option of making it permanent included worth €20 million. 

The transfer has been given the here we go signal by Fabrizio Romano, which suggests total agreement between the two parties. And only the formalities need to be completed for it to be made official.

Angelino to join Hoffenheim in the coming days

The player is expected to complete his medical for the transfer next week. And thereafter, the move will be announced by the Bundesliga clubs. 

In 29 league appearances last season, Angelino scored two goals and provided five assists. He also played a role in the DFB Pokal win for the Red Bull club. He made the move to Germany from Manchester City, after a difficult time which caused him to force an exit. And he has since been quite impressive for the club. 

David Raum recently completed his move to RB Leipzig from Hoffenheim, and is set to be the new first-choice left-back for the club. He had a remarkable year with Hoffenheim in 21/22, scoring three goals and providing 11 assists. Angelino will be the direct replacement for the German, as the two players swap clubs in separate deals.
