Real Madrid Set to Complete Record-Breaking Yan Diomande Signing From RB Leipzig

Real Madrid’s summer rebuild under Jose Mourinho takes another huge step forward. RB Leipzig are set to allow 19-year-old winger Yan Diomande to travel to Madrid for a medical and contract signing, in a deal set to become the Bundesliga club’s most expensive departure in history.

The Numbers Behind the Deal

According to journalist Philipp Hinze, the agreement includes a €125 million base fee, €10 million in realistic add-ons and €5 million in more difficult-to-reach bonuses. Leganés, the Spanish club that first developed Diomande before selling him to Leipzig, will also receive 5% of any future transfer profit.

Key Details

A Meteoric Rise

Diomande was valued at just €1.5 million when he first joined Leipzig from Leganés, before an explosive breakout season delivered 23 goal contributions in the Bundesliga and a standout World Cup showing for Ivory Coast, where he created 11 chances in four appearances. Both PSG and Liverpool withdrew from the race, clearing the path for Real Madrid.

What’s Next

With personal terms already agreed and the medical imminent, Diomande looks set to become one of Mourinho’s marquee attacking additions this summer. Fans can follow official confirmation via the Real Madrid official website.
