The financial architecture of this deal is straightforward. Reports in Italy place the deal at an initial €4 million for the loan, with the option set at €28 million, taking the total to €32 million should Leipzig exercise it at the end of the campaign.

Milan will cover half of his salary while he is back in Germany, in order for the Frenchman to fit into their wage structure. Nkunku’s First Spell at RB Leipzig — A Legacy Carved in Red and White

During his first spell at the club, Nkunku featured in 172 competitive matches, scoring 70 goals and providing 56 assists, and won the DFB Cup twice in 2022 and 2023.
