Go Youn Jung Opens Up About Her Character’s Depth in “We Are All Trying Here”

If you’re a K‑drama fan, Go Youn Jung’s role in “We Are All Trying Here” is one of the most interesting turns she’s taken so far. Stepping away from pure romance, she plays Byun Eun Ah, a film‑producer nicknamed “The Ax” for her razor‑sharp script reviews—and it’s inside this seemingly cold, collected character that Go Youn Jung finds some of her deepest, most layered work yet.

Why Go Youn Jung’s role stands out

Go Youn Jung has spoken about how Eun Ah is more than just a strict producer—she’s a woman using sharpness and control to hide inner wounds. Every time stress hits, her body “speaks” through nosebleeds, making her fragility startlingly visible beneath the composed facade.

She has also revealed that Koo Kyo Hwan’s nuanced performance inspired her own approach, especially in scenes where Eun Ah slowly lets her guard down. The two actors’ chemistry turns a story about insecurity and envy into something intimate and healing, rather than just a cold, industry‑focused drama.
