OPPO K9 5G launched with Snapdragon 768G SoC in China

The Chinese giant, OPPO has launched the OPPO K9 5G smartphone in their home country China. It comes as the next version of the Oppo K7 5G smartphone and was unveiled last year.

The K9 5G handset features a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen with a punch-hole design. It comes with Full HD+ and a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The smartphone is supported with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Also, the company states that the smartphone is integrated with a sixth-generation in-screen fingerprint reader.

The handset is powered with a Snapdragon 768G mobile chipset and is coupled with 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM. It runs on ColorOS 11.1 based Android 11 OS. It has up to 256GB of internal storage but does not have a microSD card slot to offer. The smartphone also features a VC liquid-cooled heat sink, copper plate, and multi-layer thermal conductive graphite sheet for heat dissipation.

In terms of optics, The quad-camera module includes a 64 MP primary lens, an 8 MP ultrawide lens, and a 2 MP macro lens. For selfies and video chats, you will be offered a 32 MP selfie snapper. Talking about the battery, the smartphone features a 4,300 mAh battery cell and is paired with a 65W rapid charging support. This can aid in fully charging the device in just 35 minutes.

Other features of the device are a dual SIM slot, 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The device is available in two colours: Spades K (black) and Wings of Symphony (blue gradient).

The Oppo K9 5G is priced at 1,999 Yuan or approximately $309 and at 2,199 Yuan or approximately $339 for the 8 GB RAM + 128 GB and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage variants. The company has also unveiled a “Wu Liuqi” special Box with the 8 GB + 256 GB device. There are headsets, a Shadow Assasin phone case and many more things in it.
