iQOO Z9, Z9 Turbo, Z9x launched in China with Snapdragon SoC

With three models—the iQOO Z9, Z9x, and Z9 Turbo—the iQOO Z9 series has made its debut in China. The entry-level model is the Z9x, while the top-tier model is the Turbo version. There are changes between the model that is sold in India and the standard Z9. It differs from the Indian version in that it is powered by a Snapdragon chip.

The phone’s 6.78-inch AMOLED screen on the front supports 3840Hz PWM dimming, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and 144Hz refresh rate. It also features 1.5K resolution and a maximum brightness of 4500 nits. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset powers the Z9 Turbo. An 80W rapid charging 6,000mAh battery is included.

The starting price of the Z9 Turbo is CNY 1,999, or approximately Rs. 23,000, for the 12GB+ 256GB model. The prices of the 16GB+ 256GB, 12GB+ 512GB, and 16GB+ 512GB are CNY 2,299 (approximately Rs. 26,000), CNY 2,399 (approximately Rs. 28,120), and CNY 2,599 (approximately Rs. 29,000), in that order.

It ships with Android 14-based Origin OS 4 and has up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. An 8MP ultrawide camera supports the primary 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor on the back. 4K60 frames per second video recording is supported. A 16MP selfie camera with FHD video recording capabilities is located on the front.

Available in India, the iQOO Z9x is a rebranded Vivo T3x with a fresh design, different colors (Black, White, and Light Green), and Origin OS 4.

It shares many of the same features as the T3x, including Android 14.2, a 6.72-inch 120Hz IPS LCD screen, a 50MP+2MP dual rear camera, and a 6,000mAh battery with 44W charging.

For 8GB + 128GB, the starting price of the Z9 is CNY 1,499, or around Rs. 17,000. As for the pricing, the 8GB + 256GB is available for CNY 1,599 (about Rs. 18,700) and the 12GB + 256GB is CNY 1,799 (about Rs. 20,000). For CNY 1,999 (about Rs. 23,000), the top-end model with 12GB + 512GB is offered. The color options for the Z9 and Z9 Turbo include Starburst White (which is Mandarin for Dark Night), Mountain Green, and Dark Night.
