Xreal Android XR Glasses Arrive With a $1,279 Price Tag

Xreal Android glasses are the company’s first Android XR glasses, announced on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at a confirmed retail price of $1,279.

The product is entering a market where buyers are weighing camera glasses, display glasses, and full XR headsets with very different uses. That puts software support, comfort, battery life, and app compatibility alongside the headline Dutch retailer glasses, while concerns about recording and workplace use have already influenced conversations around smart glasses.

Reported Hardware Details

The processor reportedly comes from Qualcomm, giving the glasses a recognised chip supplier without confirming the exact processor model. That difference matters because Qualcomm makes chips for products with very different performance, power demands, and XR abilities. The reported memory setup includes 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

If those numbers make it into the final retail hardware, the storage could hold locally installed apps and cached media. The RAM allocation would also leave the device room to run several XR processes. Available hardware details point to Micro-OLED panels for the display. Micro-OLED can deliver compact screens with high pixel density, but the resolution, field of view, refresh rate, brightness, and optical design haven’t been confirmed. The frame is also reportedly linked to a 4,000 mAh battery. Capacity alone doesn’t reveal endurance, since processor efficiency, display brightness, connectivity, and continuous camera or sensor use can all change operation.

Why the First Android XR Product Matters

Xreal’s move gives Android XR buyers another hardware option, but the $1,279 Norway’s glasses plans, shows why cameras, microphones, and visible recording indicators can shape public acceptance even when a product mainly handles visual computing.
