Apple’s 14-inch MacBook Pro With M6 Brings Faster AI and Up to 24 Hours of Battery

Apple has rarely been quiet about its laptops, but the new 14-inch MacBook Pro with M6 arrives with a clear message: more performance, more on-device AI and a battery that now lasts a full day and then some. Announced in Apple’s own newsroom on October 27, 2026, it is aimed at students, developers, creators and professionals alike.

What Changed Under the Hood

The new machine is powered by the all-new M6 chip, which pairs a 12-core CPU with a 12-core GPU and a Dual 16-core Neural Engine. Apple says the GPU is up to 30 percent faster than the M5 in graphics, and up to 25 percent faster on on-device AI workloads. The company’s chip design is part of the Apple silicon family that has powered Macs since 2020.
