Xbox Series S Carbon Black Console with 1TB of Storage announced by Microsoft

Microsoft concluded its Xbox Games Showcase by revealing a brand-new Xbox Series S console. Microsoft’s Xbox Games Showcase was an exhilarating flurry of brand-new game reveals, providing gamers with first looks at games like Fable 4, Avowed, and other upcoming Xbox platform exclusives.

The Xbox Games Showcase was appropriately focused on new games in development for Xbox platforms and PC. Except for the dramatic unveiling of a new sort of Xbox Series S console that dropped immediately before the showcase shifted to the Starfield Direct presentation, there were almost no other types of announcements at the show.

In contrast to the present white Xbox Series S system, the new Series S console comes in a sleek Carbon Black color with a matching controller. The new Xbox Series S console’s main selling point is its increased internal capacity.

The original Xbox Series S console only offers 500 GB of storage, the Xbox Series S Carbon Black system boasts a massive 1 TB.

Gamers will have to pay more for the additional storage, as the Xbox Series S Carbon Black system will cost $349.99 when it comes on September 1, up from $299.99 for the basic Xbox Series S console.

The Xbox Series S Carbon Black console appears to offer no power advantage over the present Xbox Series S console. This means that it will be much less powerful than the Xbox Series X. However, the fact that it is less expensive than the Xbox Series X and includes 1 TB of storage may make it a reasonable buy, particularly for individuals who have a fully digital collection.

There will be no disc drive in the Xbox Series S Carbon Black console. The Carbon Black console, like the original Xbox Series S console, is a digital-only machine, making it ideal for Xbox Game Pass. The lack of a disc drive will undoubtedly be a dealbreaker for Xbox enthusiasts who have a large collection of physical games that they would like to play on the new computer, but it will be irrelevant to others.

Xbox Series S Carbon Black launches September 1 for $349.99.
