What’s Wind Breaker About?
Haruka Sakura, a recent transfer student, enrolls at Furin High School — infamous for its population of brawny brutes who resolve conflicts with their fists. Among the student body is the group Bofurin, which protects the town’s citizens. Sakura, however, has one goal in mind: fighting his way to the top.
It’s raw, it’s kinetic, and it hits differently if you love street-fighting anime with real emotional depth underneath all the brawls.
How Much Story Does Season 2 Cover?
Of the 25 published volumes of Wind Breaker, Season 1 adapts roughly 5 volumes (41 chapters), while Season 2 picks up from there and adapts up to Volume 11 — covering up to Chapter 90/91. NewsBytes That’s a meaty chunk of story, and manga readers already know things are about to get seriously intense.
What About Season 3?
Don’t hold your breath just yet. At the time of writing, a third season of Wind Breaker has not been announced by CloverWorks. If Season 3 were to debut in early 2027, Netflix subscribers wouldn’t see it until 2028 at the earliest — given the roughly nine-month gap between broadcast and Netflix release.
Wind Breaker is based on a manga series by Satoru Nii that has been serialized since 2021, giving the anime plenty of source material to work with for future seasons.
