If you’ve ever looked around at your successful friends and silently screamed inside — this K-Drama was made for you. JTBC’s upcoming series We Are All Trying Here has just unveiled a chaotic, hilarious, and oddly emotional group poster, and honestly? We’re already hooked.
What Is We Are All Trying Here About?
The drama follows Hwang Dong Man (Koo Kyo Hwan), a man who — surrounded by seemingly successful people — believes he is the only one whose life isn’t working out. Consumed by envy and jealousy, he sets off on a journey in search of inner peace.
At its core, this is a story about comparison culture — that all-too-human tendency to measure our worth against others. And clearly, Dong Man is losing that battle… badly.
The Poster That Says It All
The new group poster centres on Hwang Dong Man lying proudly on the dining table, surrounded by 12 people — none of whom look particularly impressed. The tagline hits even harder:
“We used to be close — back when we all were nothing.”
Ouch. That one stings.

Why This Drama Deserves Your Attention
For 20 years, Hwang Dong Man has dreamed of making his directorial debut — yet to the world, he seems utterly shameless, ignoring age and decorum, treating the dining table like his own bedroom. There’s something painfully funny and deeply human about a man who refuses to pretend everything is fine.
With a cast this stacked and a premise this relatable, We Are All Trying Here could easily be the emotional gut-punch sleeper hit of April 2026.
📺 Premiere date: April 18, 2026 at 10:40 PM KST on JTBC
