The Way of the Warrior Kid official trailer is out. Starring Chris Pratt, Jude Hill and Linda Cardellini, the Apple TV film premieres globally on November 25, 2026.

Way of the Warrior Kid Official Trailer, Cast & Apple TV Release Date

Apple TV has unveiled the official trailer for Way of the Warrior Kid, an inspirational action-drama starring Chris Pratt, Jude Hill and Linda Cardellini. Based on the bestselling novel by former Navy SEAL Jocko Willink, the upcoming Apple Original Film combines family drama, personal growth and military-inspired training.

Directed by McG, the film will premiere globally on Apple TV on November 25, 2026.

The story follows Marc, played by Jude Hill, a middle-school student struggling with bullying and a lack of confidence. He feels behind his classmates in academics, physical education and even making friends. His life begins to change when his injured uncle Jake, portrayed by Chris Pratt, arrives to recover at home.

Jake is a decorated Navy SEAL, and he decides to help his nephew through an ambitious training programme called “Operation Warrior Kid.”

Chris Pratt Becomes Marc’s Warrior Mentor

The trailer highlights the relationship between Marc and his uncle Jake. Rather than simply teaching Marc how to fight, Jake attempts to help him understand what genuine courage means.

The training is inspired by Jake’s military experience, but the movie’s central message appears to be about confidence, discipline and facing personal fears.

As Marc prepares to enter high school, his uncle encourages him to stop seeing himself as someone who cannot succeed. The transformation forms the emotional core of the film.

Apple’s official synopsis describes Jake’s mission as helping Marc become more courageous while Jake himself confronts some of his own demons.

Jude Hill and Linda Cardellini Star Alongside Pratt

Alongside Chris Pratt and Jude Hill, the film features Linda Cardellini as Sarah, Marc’s mother. The supporting cast includes Ava Torres, Levi McConaughey, Darien Sills-Evans, Carl McDowell and Parker Young, among others. Jocko Willink also appears in the movie.

For Chris Pratt, the project offers a different kind of role from his well-known superhero and action franchises. Instead of being the larger-than-life hero, Pratt plays a mentor whose primary goal is to help a young boy discover his own strength.

Based on Jocko Willink’s Bestselling Novel

Way of the Warrior Kid is based on Jocko Willink’s bestselling book, “Way of the Warrior Kid: From Wimpy to Warrior the Navy SEAL Way.” The movie adaptation expands that concept into a family-focused feature film.

The screenplay is written by Will Staples, while McG directs. The production comes from Apple and Skydance Media, with producers including David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, McG, Mary Viola, Chris Pratt and Jocko Willink.

Way of the Warrior Kid Release Date

The film is officially scheduled to premiere globally on Apple TV on November 25, 2026. Apple lists the movie as an action drama with a runtime of approximately 1 hour and 46 minutes.
