Wakanda Meets Fantastic Four: Avengers Doomsday Trailer 4 Reveals Epic Team-Up

Marvel just dropped its most exciting Avengers: Doomsday teaser yet! The fourth trailer showcases a historic meeting between Wakanda’s heroes and the Fantastic Four, marking the first time Marvel’s First Family interacts with the main MCU timeline. Here’s everything you need to know about this groundbreaking footage.

Avengers Doomsday Trailer Breakdown at a Glance

Key Moments From the Trailer

Shuri’s Emotional Journey

The footage opens with Letitia Wright’s Shuri wearing stunning new armor that blends Wakandan and Talokan design elements. Her voiceover sets a somber tone: “I’ve lost everyone that matters to me. A king has his duties to prepare our people for the afterlife. I have mine.”

This powerful statement confirms Shuri’s continued grief over losing T’Challa, while establishing her role as protector rather than ruler—a callback to her decision not to challenge M’Baku at the end of Wakanda Forever.

M’Baku Confirmed as King

Winston Duke’s M’Baku officially introduces himself as “King M’Baku of Wakanda,” confirming fan theories that he successfully claimed the throne. His leadership will be crucial as Earth faces its greatest threat yet.

Namor’s New Look & Mysterious Mood

Tenoch Huerta’s Namor appears with a comics-accurate high collar costume, marking a significant visual upgrade. The Sub-Mariner looks troubled, sparking speculation that he might side with Doctor Doom—a devastating possibility given his alliance with Wakanda. His trusted second, Namora, also makes her Doomsday debut alongside Talokan forces.

The Thing’s Hilarious Introduction

The trailer’s standout moment comes when Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s Ben Grimm meets M’Baku. When the Wakandan king formally introduces himself, The Thing awkwardly responds: “Ben… Yancy Street, between Broome and Grand.” This street-level response to royal formality perfectly captures Ben’s working-class Brooklyn personality.

Why This Meeting Matters

Comic Book History Come Full Circle

This crossover holds deep significance for Marvel fans. Black Panther and Wakanda first appeared in Fantastic Four #52 (1966), while Namor returned to comics in Fantastic Four #4 (1962) after his Golden Age debut. Bringing these characters together on screen honors over 60 years of interconnected storytelling.

First MCU Crossover for Fantastic Four

Director Matt Shakman confirmed that The Fantastic Four: First Steps featured “really no other superheroes” in Earth-828. This makes Doomsday the team’s first encounter with other powered individuals, creating fascinating dynamics as they learn how Earth-616 heroes collaborate.

Where Are the Other Three?

The trailer only shows The Thing in Wakanda. Where are Mr. Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), and Human Torch (Joseph Quinn)? They’re likely meeting other Avengers teams across the globe, coordinating the massive response to Doctor Doom’s threat—possibly searching for Franklin Richards.

What This Means for December 2026

With four distinct teasers focusing on different hero groups (Captain America, Thor, X-Men, and now Wakanda/Fantastic Four), Marvel is building toward something massive. The Russo Brothers are orchestrating a convergence that makes Infinity War look small by comparison.

The shared theme across all teasers—loss, duty, and preparing for battle—suggests Doomsday will be emotionally devastating before the action even starts. Shuri’s mention of preparing for “the afterlife” indicates casualties are coming.
