February 26, 2026, is a day Indian cinema will remember for a long time. Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna — the couple fans have fondly nicknamed “VIROSH” — made it official, not once, but twice. After a heartfelt Telugu ceremony at 8 AM, the couple set the stage for an equally magical Kodava wedding at 5 PM, timed beautifully with the Udaipur sunset. And honestly, could it get any more cinematic?

VIROSH Wedding Day — Full Schedule Breakdown

Event	Time	Tradition
Telugu Wedding Ceremony	8:00 AM – 11:30 AM	Vijay’s Telugu roots
Sweets distributed to media	Post 11:30 AM	Celebratory announcement
Kodava (Coorg) Wedding	5:00 PM	Rashmika’s Coorg heritage
Reception	March 4, 2026	Hyderabad

Why Two Ceremonies? A Love Story Rooted in Two Cultures

The dual wedding is a deeply personal choice. Vijay hails from Andhra Pradesh and follows Telugu traditions, while Rashmika is a proud Kodava from Coorg, Karnataka — a community known for its fiercely distinct customs, warrior heritage, and beautiful marriage rituals. Hosting separate ceremonies was the couple’s heartfelt way of honouring both families equally.

The morning Telugu ceremony, which wrapped up around 11:30 AM, was followed by the distribution of sweets to the media waiting outside — a traditional signal that the knot had officially been tied. The evening Kodava ceremony was planned with a stunning sunset backdrop overlooking the hills of Udaipur, making it as poetic as it sounds.

The Pre-Wedding Story That Melted Everyone’s Hearts

The festivities began days earlier in Udaipur with an intimate gathering of close friends and family. At their Sangeet, both sets of mothers performed surprise dances — and Vijay’s mother gifted Rashmika with family heirloom bangles, a deeply emotional moment that set the tone for the entire celebration.

On February 25, the Haldi ceremony got a fun twist — instead of traditional turmeric only, the couple introduced Holi colours and flowers, dedicating the fun-filled event to their beloved pet dogs. Rashmika even surprised Vijay during the Sangeet with a dance to the Pushpa 2 number Angaaron, sending fans into a frenzy online.
