ViewSonic VP2768A – Is it worth buying this professional monitor?
ViewSonic is a giant when it comes to monitors, not as popular as Samsung or LG in India but slowly and steadily they have launched a plethora of models in the country. Last time we reviewed its unique 240Hz 27-inch Gaming Monitor, now we have this ViewSonic VP2768A ColorPro Monitor which you can guess by the name is aimed towards content creators.
For professionals who need professional, high-quality, colour-accurate monitors, this one is aimed towards them with a price of ₹35,750, not the cheapest, but still affordable. Considering the fact that most good 27-inch QHD monitors come in that Rs.25k price segment in India, is this monitor worth that extra money? Let’s find out in our full review:

Design & Build
In this price range, this ViewSonic VP2768A ColorPro Monitor can safely be assumed to be a premium monitor for a price-sensitive market like India. I like the fact that ViewSonic didn’t cheap out on the build quality, though made up of plastic still it has that subtle premiumness, starting from the almost bezeless display to that arm that holds the display firmly.
One commendable thing about any ViewSonic monitor is that they can easily be mounted by even an individual because they aren’t that heavy plus the style of deporting the display into the stand is quite easy. With not-so-aggressive badging and a big branding at the back, I like the approach more than a lot of other manufacturers.
As a professional monitor, this ViewSonic VP2768A not only lets you adjust the height effortlessly but also its tilt adjustable, a standard feature for any ViewSonic monitor in this price range. So, any creator who wants to make a dual monitor setup is possible thanks to this and those incredibly sleek bezels distract you less during work, overall, a good design and decent build quality.
Talking about the most important aspect of this ViewSonic VP2768A ColorPro Monitor is its display quality because that is what sets this apart from other QHD gaming monitors in a similar price range. Not only this monitor offers over 100% sRGB color accuracy, but ViewSonic says it goes up to 113% and it’s also Pantone Validated QHD IPS panel.
The display comes with EBU, SMPTE-C, Rec. 709, DICOM-SIM color uniformity, Delta E<2 accuracy and a gorgeous palette of 4.39 trillion colors. This makes the SuperClear IPS panel great for daily work, especially if that involves professional work like Adobe PhotoShop or Premier Pro or Blender and more.
As I was telling, this monitor’s incredibly slim bezels are one of its upsides but only a 60Hz refresh rate in 2023 is kind of outdated now. I wish this QHD display had a higher refresh rate but again it comes with the world’s 1st TÜV SÜD tested color blindness mode that again helps those who need this.
No monitor can be perfect, but this ViewSonic VP2768A ColorPro Monitor’s display is top-notch for everyday work and for my work it’s quite good. The colors are punch, your eyes don’t get strained that much with long usage thanks to Blue Light Filter, and the viewing angles are great, if only it also had inbuilt speakers, it would have made things cosy.
Also, thanks to ViewSonic’s Colorbration+ offers hardware calibration which also helps to give the best performance. Let’s find out if the company’s claims for its ViewSonic VP2768A ColorPro Monitor in terms of color accuracy and other parameters are correct or not. We did run some tests with our DataColor SpyderX Pro, and here are the results:
As you see in the display tests, this ViewSonic VP2768A ColorPro Monitor lives up to its claims, providing up to 100% sRGB, 84% DCI-P3 and 78% AdobeRGB color gamut, these are decent numbers, nothing extraordinary. What I really liked about this monitor is its peak brightness going up to 350 nits which I think most creators will actually appreciate.
Also, you have a pretty decent, up to 1000:1 contrasts ration and as you see in the results, the numbers are decent, making this a good option for creators at a budget to mid-range pricing.
Personally, I wouldn’t recommend this monitor for sole gaming purposes but can be used for casual purposes, the lack of high refresh rate support does reduce its gaming use especially when it comes to competitive titles. However, ViewSonic VP2768A ColorPro Monitor can easily be used for media consumption as well thanks to incredible color accuracy.
You can enjoy movies or web series at an incredible 2560 x 1440 resolution or you can get the 4K resolution monitor that comes with almost the same features but at higher pricing. However, most people will be satisfied with this monitor for their web series streaming or binge-watching on Netflix because of the incredible details this ViewSonic VP2768A gives you with.
Personally, I loved using the monitor for everyday usage and used it for daily YouTube sessions or any binge-watching.
I/O and Connectivity
One thing that really impressed me will be that ViewSonic has given a lot of ports which a lot of other manufacturers are not giving. This ViewSonic VP2768A ColorPro Monitor features HDMI, DisplayPort In and DisplayPort Out, a 3.5mm headphone jack, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports and an Ethernet jack.
As you see you have a plethora of options in terms of I/O and connectivity, which makes this monitor better than others. Also, the best part is that this monitor also features a USB Type-C port which helps to transmit power up to 90W, data, video, and audio with a single cable when connected, which comes in really handy for creative people.
Also, there are six buttons along the back side of this monitor and ViewSonic gives you multiple On-Screen display options with Input Select, Audio Adjust, ViewMode, Color Adjust, Manual Image Adjust, and Setup Menu options. Overall, this monitor comes with one of the best I/O and Connectivity options that set it apart from the rest of the competition.
Now, should you buy this ViewSonic VP2768A ColorPro Monitor? Also, who should buy this actually? Well, as told previously, this monitor is aimed towards professionals who want a good option on budget and do not want to compromise on performance, quality and productivity, it’s not meant for gamers or casual people though.
For those who love popping colors and good contrast along with professional color calibration, this should be the one for you. So, anyone buying this has to be a serious user though, not very expensive but not cheap this is good pricing I would and would recommend this ViewSonic VP2768A ColorPro Monitor to anyone who needs a professional option at this Rs.35k pricing!
