V8 Engine Start: Vernon and The8 Rev Up for “V-Nfinity” Album and World Tour!

Hey CARATs! Is your heart racing? Because mine certainly is! Just when we thought SEVENTEEN couldn’t get any more legendary, two of our favorite “performance kings” have decided to team up. On May 28, 2026, PLEDIS Entertainment officially confirmed the debut of a brand-new unit: V8, featuring the unmatched flow of Vernon and the artistic grace of The8.

This unit promises to blend experimental hip-hop with contemporary performance art, creating a “V-Nfinity” experience that we’ve never seen before in K-pop. Let’s dive into the release dates and tour stops!\

V8 Unit Debut: Quick Facts & Schedule

The announcement came with a high-concept teaser video featuring a desert landscape and a high-speed sports car—symbolizing the “V8” speed and power. Here is the quick breakdown of the rollout:

The Road to “V-Nfinity”: Step-by-Step Breakdown

To help you manage the hype, here are the official steps for the V8 takeover:

Step 1: The Cryptic Teaser Reveal
The journey started today, May 28, with a 30-second visual film. It highlights Vernon’s sharp rap verses layered over The8’s fluid, modern dance movements. The contrast between Vernon’s “laid-back” vibe and The8’s “artistic” precision is the core identity of this unit.

Step 2: The “V-Nfinity” Album Drop
Mark June 25 on your calendars! The mini-album will feature five tracks, including the title song “Throttle.” Rumor has it that both members were heavily involved in the production and songwriting, ensuring the sound is 100% authentic to their personal styles.

Step 3: The Seoul Concert Kickoff
The duo won’t just stay in the studio. They are launching a special unit tour, The V8 Experience. The first shows will take place at the Seoul Olympic Hall on July 11 and 12, 2026. Expect high-energy stages and perhaps some surprise cameos from other SEVENTEEN members!

Step 4: Global Stops: Shanghai and Los Angeles
V8 is going international! Following the Seoul dates, they will head to Shanghai (July 18) and Los Angeles (July 25). PLEDIS hinted that more cities will be added depending on the global demand, so keep those lightsticks ready!
