Two people, one night, and two completely different memories. The Perfect Lie is shaping up as one of the season’s tensest K-dramas, and episode 2 is where the investigation heats up.

The Perfect Lie : Overview

Detail	Info
Genre	Psychological thriller
Director	Jo Young Min (You and Everything Else)
Lead cast	Yoo Yeon Seok (Min Joon Ho), Seo Hyun Jin (Kang Ji Sun)
Episode 2 air time	October 31, 2026, at 9:50 p.m. KST
Key scene	Both leads undergo polygraph tests
Reunion	First pairing since Dr. Romantic, 10 years ago

What Is the Story?

The drama follows a man and a woman who give completely opposite accounts of the same memory, then clash fiercely over what the truth really is. Neither one backs down, which keeps viewers guessing who is telling the truth and who isn’t.

What Happens in Episode 2?

Newly released stills show Min Joon Ho and Kang Ji Sun in a police interrogation room after she accuses him of sexual assault. Their stories are so different that one of them must be lying, yet neither shows a flicker of doubt.

Later, both undergo lie detector tests as part of the investigation. The production team teases that the polygraph scene will deliver real suspense, and that fans should watch for the deep, emotional acting as the characters’ mental states change.

This is a heavy subject, and the drama appears to treat it through a psychological lens rather than for shock value.

Why This Reunion Matters

Yoo Yeon Seok and Seo Hyun Jin played opposite each other in the hit medical drama Dr. Romantic. Seeing them reunite a decade later in a very different, darker story gives fans extra reason to tune in. For his career background, see the Yoo Yeon Seok Wikipedia page.
