U&i Couple Series TWS Earbuds Review – All You Need to Know

In the realm of True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds, the U&i Couple Series has made its presence known with a dual pair of compact buds that promise a fusion of features tailored for the modern audio enthusiast. While these earbuds showcase impressive specifications, their strengths are accompanied by notable limitations that discerning users should consider.

All About the U&i Couple Series TWS

Connectivity and Charging

The U&i Couple Series TWS earbuds embrace Bluetooth V5.0+EDR, enabling swift and seamless connections to a variety of devices. When connecting these earbuds, they conveniently pop up as A pair and B pair, streamlining the pairing process and enhancing user experience. This instant pairing ensures that you can swiftly transition from device to device without hassle. Furthermore, the inclusion of a super-capacitor offers a commendable one-hour full charge time, meaning your earbuds can get back into action with minimal delay. The earbuds gave around 4 hours of music playback on 70% volume.

Battery Life and Stylish Design

One of the standout features of the U&i Couple Series is the charging case’s impressive 450mAh battery, which claims to deliver a total of 100 hours of usage, surpassing the expectations of most users. With a standby time of up to 400 hours, these earbuds are well-suited for those moments of sporadic use. The buds are available in Black and Grey and are designed with comfort and passive noise cancellation in mind.

The inclusion of skin-friendly silicone tips enhances the snug fit for extended wear. The buds have touch controls too, but users have to be very precise with the interaction. A single tap on the left or right bud controls play/pause. Double tap on the right bud for the next, and the left bud for the previous. A triple tap on the right bud raises volume; on the left bud lowers it.

Audio Quality and Performance

The U&i Couple Series TWS earbuds’ audio quality provided a balanced experience, with a crisp sound that caters to various audio preferences. However, individuals with a keen affinity for deep bass might find these earbuds slightly lacking. Despite the good sound quality, latency issues arise when engaging in gaming activities like BGMI and COD. This limitation might prove disappointing for gamers seeking an immersive experience.

Microphone and Call Quality

When using the U&i Couple Series TWS earbuds, a major letdown was the microphone performance. If you prioritize clear and crisp microphone quality for calls and voice interactions, it’s essential to note that while these earbuds excel in various areas, they may not meet the basic microphone standards you require. Those who place significant emphasis on microphone quality, particularly for calling purposes, might want to explore other options that better align with their communication needs.

Comfort and Immersion

The U&i Couple Series prioritizes comfort and immersion, featuring an ergonomic and secure fit that enhances stability during a range of activities. Touch controls on the earbuds provide convenient access to music playback, call management, and voice assistant functions, minimizing the need to interact with your device directly. The noise-cancellation technology stands out, effectively shutting out external noise to ensure an immersive audio journey, especially in noisy surroundings.

Verdict

The U&i Couple Series TWS earbuds, priced at ₹2499, present a mixed bag of features and trade-offs that cater to different audio preferences and usage scenarios. While they excel in connectivity, extended battery life, and comfort, potential users must consider the balanced audio profile, latency issues during gaming, and microphone performance. Those seeking a well-rounded audio companion that fits within the confines of its strengths and limitations will find the U&i Couple Series TWS earbuds to be an intriguing option worth considering.
