Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups (Yash) OTT Release — Here’s When You Can Stream It

Yash’s much-awaited comeback film is finally headed home. After a blockbuster theatrical run, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups is set to make its digital debut — and fans have been counting down the days.

The Wait Is Almost Over

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups released in theatres on August 26, 2026, marking Yash’s return to the big screen after a four-year hiatus following KGF: Chapter 2. The gangster action drama opened to a massive response, eventually crossing ₹340 crore at the worldwide box office — even though collections cooled off in its later weeks.

Now, with its theatrical window wrapping up, the film is gearing up for its OTT premiere, with ZEE5 confirmed as the platform holding digital and satellite rights.

When Exactly Will It Stream?

Reports on the exact OTT date have varied slightly. Some trade sources initially suggested a premiere around September 25, 2026, while others point to an eight-week theatrical window, which would push the streaming date closer to mid-October 2026. Either way, the film is expected to land on ZEE5 across multiple languages, giving pan-India audiences full access to the gangster drama’s stylized, hyper-violent world.

What’s the Film About?

Set against the backdrop of the drug mafia, Toxic follows Yash as a cold-blooded gangster whose world begins to unravel — most notably through conflict with his own son, who emerges as an unexpected rival. The film was shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, an ambitious and rare production choice aimed at appealing to both Indian and global audiences. Critical reception has been mixed — while Yash and Kiara Advani received praise for their performances, the film’s screenplay and pacing drew criticism from several reviewers.
