If you’ve been sleeping on Toriko, Netflix just gave you the perfect wake-up call. The classic shonen anime is officially hitting the streaming giant this month — and it’s bringing a legendary crossover along with it.

What’s Happening?

Netflix has been on an absolute anime acquisition spree lately. After landing Naruto, My Hero Academia, Black Clover, and One Piece, the streamer is now adding another Toei Animation titan to its roster — Toriko, the beloved culinary action-adventure series.

Detail	Info

Original Run	2008–2016 (Weekly Shōnen Jump)
Netflix Release	March 15, 2026

Crossover Special	Toriko × One Piece (April 1, 2026)
Also Streams On	Crunchyroll, Hulu (US)

What Is Toriko About?

Set in the “Gourmet Age,” Toriko follows a muscle-bound Gourmet Hunter named Toriko and his chef companion Komatsu. Together, they travel the world hunting monstrous, exotic beasts — all in the name of building Toriko’s ultimate Full Course Menu of Life. Think One Piece energy, but replace pirates with food and the ocean with dangerous wilderness. It’s wild, funny, and genuinely epic.

The One Piece Crossover Is the Real Cherry on Top

Here’s where things get extra spicy. On April 1, 2026 (yes, really — not a joke), Netflix is dropping the Toriko × One Piece crossover special. This joins the already-available Dragon Ball × One Piece crossover on the platform.

Given that Netflix has built itself into the ultimate One Piece streaming hub — housing the live-action series Season 2, the upcoming WIT Studio remake, and massive chunks of the original anime — this addition makes complete sense. Luffy and Toriko feasting together? That’s unmissable content.
