A Unique Superhero Concept Worth Watching
Unlike typical superhero narratives, The WONDERfools focuses on individuals known as “defective superhumans”—people who have superhuman abilities but can’t fully control or activate them at will. This creative premise promises a refreshingly grounded approach to the genre, exploring the frustrations and possibilities of imperfect powers in a world where super-powered beings exist.
Dream Team Behind the Camera
The series reunites director Yoo In Shik with Park Eun Bin after their massive hit Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Meanwhile, writer Kang Eun Kyung, who crafted the intricate storytelling of Gyeongseong Creature, brings her talent for character-driven narratives to this superhero world. This combination of proven talent suggests viewers can expect both heart and spectacle.
Star Power Meets Fresh Chemistry
Park Eun Bin plays Eun Chae Ni, bringing her signature emotional depth from beloved dramas like Castaway Diva and The King’s Affection. Cha Eun Woo takes on the role of Lee Un Jeong in his Netflix debut, transitioning from his K-pop career with Astro and previous dramas like True Beauty. The supporting cast includes veterans Kim Hae Sook (Strong Girl Namsoon), Choi Dae Hoon (One Dollar Lawyer), Im Sung Jae (Black Knight), and Son Hyun Joo (The Good Detective).
