The Vvaan Box Office Day 9: Sidharth Malhotra’s Film Earns Rs 2 Crore, Faces the Drishyam Storm

Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia’s The Vvaan is still fighting, but the timing couldn’t be tougher. With Ajay Devgn’s blockbuster Drishyam: The Conclusion taking over screens and attention, the film’s second weekend has slowed down.

What the Numbers Say

The film earned Rs 2 crore on its second Saturday, a drop of nearly 40% from Friday. That’s a sharp fall for a day that usually brings a bump, and the big new release is the obvious reason.

Trade estimates suggest the second weekend will close around Rs 8 to 9 crore, which would lift the total to roughly Rs 58 to 59 crore nett.

The Verdict: Average, But Respectable

Trade analysts are calling The Vvaan an average performer. The report says it needed a better hold this weekend to earn a hit verdict, and likely would have got one without Drishyam: The Conclusion arriving.

Still, the story isn’t all grim. A month ago, the film was reportedly seen as dead on arrival, so a Rs 55 crore total is a solid recovery.

Bihar Is Powering the Film

The film has done its best business in the Bihar region, thanks to its Chhath Puja plot. That local connection has clearly worked in its favour and may help it hold in smaller centres.

What Is The Vvaan About?

The Vvaan: Force of the Forest follows Rishi, an engineer who returns to his ancestral village in Bihar with his wife to settle a property dispute. When a development project threatens a sacred forest, he gets pulled into a centuries-old mystery and must protect his village and restore the balance between faith and nature.

Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, it also features Anup Soni, Sunil Grover, Shweta Tiwari and Maniesh Paul. Read more about the actor on Sidharth Malhotra’s Wikipedia page.

What to Watch Next?

The coming weekdays will matter most. If the film holds steady on Monday, it could still pick up a few more crores. Watch out for how it fares against fresh competition.
