The Vvaan is proving to be a steady performer. Even after the usual weekday dip, the Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia starrer has crossed Rs 45 crore nett in India. The next big question is how it handles a new rival, Drishyam: The Conclusion, this weekend.

How Wednesday Went?
According to Pinkvilla, the film earned Rs 3.50 crore on Day 6, a drop of about 35 per cent from Tuesday. A fall like this is normal in the middle of the week, and the film is still holding steadily. The running total now stands at Rs 45.75 crore nett.
What to Expect From the First Week?
Current trends point to a first-week finish of around Rs 47-48 crore nett in India. The film is then expected to cross the Rs 50 crore mark during its second weekend. That is a solid number for a romantic-action title in a crowded release window.
The Gandhi Jayanti Boost
The national holiday on October 2nd should help. Pinkvilla expects the film to hold well on Thursday and Friday thanks to the extra footfall. Holiday days often lift collections after a mid-week slump, so these two days will matter for the final first-week total.
The Drishyam Factor
The tougher test comes from the weekend. The Vvaan will go up against Drishyam: The Conclusion, which has strong advance bookings. Screens and showtimes may shift towards the bigger release, so how the film holds from Saturday onward will decide its final run. The report says The Vvaan is on track to be a hit, depending on how it holds in the coming days.
Why It Matters?
The report also notes that the box office has had a good stretch over the last three months, after a period when release volumes and performance were weak. A steady run for a mid-budget film like this adds to that picture. To know more about the lead actor, see Sidharth Malhotra on Wikipedia.
