Cliff Booth is back. Netflix has released the first trailer for The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, and it makes one thing clear: this is a darker, sharper Hollywood. David Fincher directs, Quentin Tarantino wrote the script, and Brad Pitt returns to the role that won him an Oscar.

What Is the Story About?

It has been eight years since the events of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Cliff no longer works as a stuntman. He tends bar, works as a projectionist, and quietly fixes problems for Hollywood’s rich and famous, sometimes by less-than-legal means.

A call from talent agent Karen Crosby, acting for TV megastar Charlie Peters, pulls him into a web of money, ambition and violence. The official pitch puts it simply: the fairytale has turned into a crime story.

Trailer Highlights

The teaser runs on quick cuts and a Led Zeppelin needle-drop. It leans hard on Cliff’s reputation, with a nod to the Bruce Lee stuntman legend and a wink at his old boss Rick Dalton. The tension between Debicki’s and Pitt’s characters over a suspicious briefcase of cash also hints at where the plot is heading. The look is pure Fincher, moody and precise, with Tarantino’s punchy dialogue on top.

Where and How to Watch

You have two ways in. The first is a two-week IMAX run from 25 November, so check your local listings for screenings near you. The second is streaming on Netflix from 23 December, just in time for the holidays. Tarantino is also releasing a tie-in novel, The Adventures of Cliff Booth, on 8 December through HarperCollins.

FAQs

Q1. When does The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth release on Netflix?

It hits Netflix globally on 23 December 2026, after an exclusive two-week IMAX run starting 25 November.

Q2. Do I need to watch Once Upon a Time in Hollywood first?

It helps, since the film follows Cliff Booth eight years later and references his past. The story is set in 1977, so the trailer and synopsis should still make sense to newcomers.
