Inside the 256-Hour Ruby Ring That Made Aamir Khan’s Wedding Truly Royal

Some wedding gifts are picked off a shelf. This one took three months just to source the stone. Aamir Khan skipped the traditional diamond solitaire for his wedding to Gauri Spratt, choosing instead a rare ruby ring so exclusive that even its makers call it a “1 in a million” find.

Aamir Khan’s Wedding, A Loud Statement Piece

The ceremony itself was intimate — held at Khan’s Bandra residence on July 5, 2026, with only close family and friends in attendance. But amid the understated setting, one detail stole the spotlight: the bespoke ruby ring crafted by luxury jewellery house QWEEN for the bride.

The ring’s centerpiece is a natural, cabochon-cut ruby sourced from Madagascar. According to the brand’s co-founder, finding a stone of this rarity took over three months of dedicated searching, since gems of this quality don’t come around often.

What Makes It So Special

The design intentionally moves away from a standard prong-set solitaire. Instead, the ruby sits in a gold, crown-inspired setting with scalloped peaks, finished with delicate milgrain beading and a bombé signet profile — details meant to give it a vintage, heirloom feel built to last generations. Multiple natural diamonds surround the ruby, enhancing its deep oxblood hue.

Not His First Grand Gesture

This isn’t the first time Khan has gifted Gauri a rare piece — during their alleged engagement, he had presented her with an equally rare Brazilian aquamarine ring, showing a clear pattern of thoughtful, symbolic gifting throughout their relationship.

Rubies have long held cultural and symbolic significance across the world, often associated with passion and vitality — you can read more about this in the general overview of ruby as a gemstone.
