The launch of the Tata Nexon in India on September 21, 2017 was quite a big deal for Tata Motors and it has proven to deliver wonders. A step further on this has been the entry of Tata Motors Nexon With i-CNG, achieving a distinction by being the first in India to be powered by four fuel modes. The second launch of the day included a refresh to the Nexon EV, which now comes with a 45 kWh battery.

Meanwhile, a fresh Red Dark Edition (Red Hot Dark) skin has also been revealed by Tata for the Nexon EV with distinctive styling One important inclusion common to all Nexon ICE (Petrol and Diesel) is, Nexon i-CNG. And Nexon EV models Among the various tweaks were the dual-pane panoramic sunroof, which might have gone quite unnoticed to many.

The All New Tata Nexon With New Features

The Nexon was recently spotted with a panorama sunroof during production, not long after the Mahindra XUV3XO hit the market. This comes just in time for the festive season and an upsurge of travel, Tata Motors has decided to offer this feature. All through a sunroof may be nonsense in india but what the heck it’s a good luxury feature that everybody likes. The Mahindra XUV3XO was the only vehicle to have offered a dual-pane panoramic sunroof in the sub-4m SUV segment so far since all models get single-pane sunroofs. Now Tata follows the same with the Nexon. The Nexon comes with a trendy addition and this should enhance the appeal for the users which also will likely be seen translating into better sales.

Interestingly, Tata Motors introduced the dual-pane panoramic sunroof with little fanfare, unlike rival brands that typically launch such features at major events. As indicated in their marketing materials, the Nexon ICE (Petrol and Diesel), Nexon i-CNG, and Nexon EV all come with this feature, and there appears to be no price increase associated with its addition.

Currently, only the Fearless+ trim features the PS suffix, which indicates the inclusion of the panoramic sunroof, while other variants with the “S” suffix continue to offer a single-pane sunroof. It is possible that more trims may receive this feature in the future.

Other significant features of the sub-4m Nexon SUV include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system (12.3 inches with the Nexon EV), complete with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital driver display, and a 9-speaker JBL sound system. Additional amenities include automatic climate control, a wireless phone charger, and a 360-degree camera.

Standard safety features encompass six airbags, electronic stability control, a tire pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and ABS with EBD. Similar to the Tata Punch and Altroz CNG, the Nexon CNG features factory-installed twin CNG cylinders located under the boot cover, preserving around 321 liters of cargo space.
