Straw Hats Return: One Piece’s Elbaf Saga Sails Back Sooner Than You Think

No long anime hiatus here — the Straw Hat crew is barely catching their breath before round two begins.

After wrapping its first 13-episode run on July 5, 2026, the first cour of the “One Piece: Elbaf Arc” has concluded, and Part 2 begins on Netflix on July 18, 2026. The One Piece anime, one of the longest-running and most beloved series ever made, has entered a new release era.

One Piece: A New Chapter In How One Piece Rolls Out

The Elbaf Arc marked a major shift for TOEI Animation, which had released episodes weekly for 27 years and produced over 1,150 episodes in that time. Going forward, the annual episode count drops significantly to a maximum of 26 episodes per year, split across two cours.

Part 2 kicks off in Japan on July 12, 2026, with Netflix’s version following six days later on July 18 due to the platform’s usual release delay. With no scheduled breaks, the arc’s second-cour finale is set to land on Netflix on October 10, 2026.

So far, the anime has adapted 13 manga chapters (1126–1138) of the Elbaf Arc, out of 62 published chapters, meaning the anime has covered roughly a fifth of available material. TOEI has confirmed the adaptation will follow a strict 1:1 ratio with the manga, and the next 13 episodes are expected to reach chapter 1153.

Once Part 2 wraps, there won’t be further episodes in 2026 — the next batch isn’t expected until around Spring 2027.
