Spooky in Love: Park Eun Bin and Yang Se Jong’s Fake Dates Look Awfully Real

A fake engagement, real chemistry — tvN’s Spooky in Love just gave fans exactly the kind of will-they-won’t-they tension that makes K-drama fandoms lose their minds. New stills tease a set of “proof” dates that blur the line between pretend and real.

What’s Happening in the Preview?

Cheon Yeo Ri (Park Eun Bin) and Ma Gang Wook (Yang Se Jong) need to convince skeptics their engagement is genuine, so the pair heads out on public dates built around their shared hobbies. First up: indoor rock climbing, where the two look completely at ease with each other, catching their breath together post-workout like an actual couple. Next, an arcade date delivers even more chemistry — complete with a stuffed-animal photo op and candid, smiling snapshots of one another.

Spooky in Love: Overview

The Story So Far

Spooky in Love follows Cheon Yeo Ri, a hotel heiress who can see ghosts, and Ma Gang Wook, a prosecutor terrified of them. Facing pressure from her grandmother to get engaged to Kang Min Hwan (Ong Seong Wu), Yeo Ri instead lies and claims she’s already engaged — to Gang Wook. Now the pair must sell their fake relationship to everyone around them, and the growing ease between them suggests the line between pretend and real feelings is already starting to blur.

Why Fans Are Watching Closely

Fake-dating tropes are a K-drama staple for a reason — the tension between performance and genuine connection almost always spills into real romance. With Park Eun Bin and Yang Se Jong’s easy chemistry already on display, viewers are eager to see how this “proof” plan reshapes their actual relationship. The show fits within the broader tradition of Korean drama storytelling, known for blending genre elements like fantasy and horror with heartfelt romance.
