The caption was equally enigmatic, reading: “Without any suspense woh picture mein dekh lena here is the first look of my mysterious next #NikitaRoy! Releasing on May 30, 2025!”

This glimpse alone has sparked significant buzz around what appears to be a gripping and emotionally complex narrative.

Kussh Sinha Steps Behind the Camera

With Nikita Roy, Kussh Sinha takes on the director’s role for the first time, choosing a subject that leans heavily into psychological tension and emotional vulnerability. By casting his sister Sonakshi in the lead, Kussh brings familial trust into a creative space, promising a deeply collaborative storytelling approach.

The plot, described as a psychological thriller layered with mysticism and the fragility of the human mind, is already being hailed for its bold thematic choices. According to a press release, the film “explores the grey zones of the human mind,” hinting at a narrative that is as intellectually challenging as it is visually haunting.

Stellar Cast Raises Expectations

Sonakshi Sinha leads a seasoned lineup that includes Arjun Rampal, Paresh Rawal, and Suhail Nayyar. Each actor brings their own brand of intensity and nuance, enhancing the film’s potential for layered character arcs and unpredictable developments.

This diverse cast ensures Nikita Roy won’t rely on traditional storytelling tropes, but instead aims to challenge audiences with morally ambiguous characters and a storyline driven by psychological depth.

Scripted by Masters of the Genre

The film is written by Pavan Kirpalani—renowned for his expertise in crafting thrillers—and Ankur Takrani. Their screenplay is expected to be taut, emotionally charged, and deeply immersive. With Kirpalani at the helm of the story and screenplay, viewers can expect a thoughtful narrative that elevates the genre beyond surface-level suspense.

The writing team reportedly focused on keeping the mystery grounded in reality while also playing with the boundaries of the human mind. This approach aligns with the current audience appetite for psychological thrillers that are both entertaining and thought-provoking.

Shot Across Haunting Locations in the UK

A significant portion of Nikita Roy has been filmed in London and other locations across the United Kingdom. These settings not only enhance the film’s international appeal but also lend a chilling, atmospheric quality that complements its genre.

From fog-laced alleyways to shadowy interiors, the film’s visuals are crafted to mirror its themes of mystery and internal conflict. Cinematography is expected to play a pivotal role in creating a constant sense of unease.

Backed by Passionate Producers

The project is produced by Nickky Bhagnani and Viicky Bhagnani, who expressed their deep emotional connection to the film: “This film is very close to our hearts. It dares to tread where most mainstream films don’t and explores a genre we truly believe audiences are ready for. With a powerful cast, a gripping narrative, and Kussh S Sinha’s unique vision, we can’t wait for the world to experience ‘Nikita Roy’ on the big screen.”
