If you’ve been sleeping on STRIKE WORLD, this collaboration is your wake-up call. Japanese gaming giant MIXI, Inc. has officially announced an in-game crossover between its global mobile RPG STRIKE WORLD and the wildly popular TV anime “Shangri-La Frontier” — and Indian players are right at the heart of it.

The timing couldn’t be better. India’s mobile gaming and anime fandom are both exploding, and this crossover lands right at that sweet spot where both worlds collide.

What’s the STRIKE WORLD x Shangri-La Frontier Collab All About?

Running from May 8 to May 22, 2026, this limited-time collaboration event brings iconic characters and bosses from Shangri-La Frontier directly into the STRIKE WORLD universe. Whether you’re a die-hard anime fan or a competitive RPG player, there’s something here for you.

Three fan-favourite characters make their playable debut:

Character	Role in Anime	In-Game Appeal
Sunraku	Protagonist, elite gamer	High-skill, high-reward playstyle
Arthur Pencilgon	Strategic ally	Team synergy and coordination
Emul	Loyal companion	Support and dynamic combat utility

Each character is faithfully designed to reflect their anime counterparts — abilities, visual style, and all. Beyond the playable roster, players can take on two iconic bosses in specially curated battle stages:

Wethermon the Tombguard — a test of endurance and smart positioning
Lycagon the Nightslayer — a high-intensity fight demanding real coordination

More Than Just New Characters

MIXI hasn’t just dropped characters and called it a day. The collaboration is built around a full event experience:

Themed quests woven with narrative elements from the anime
A limited-edition event pass exclusive to this collaboration window
Special in-game rewards celebrating the crossover

The goal is immersion — and based on how tightly the anime’s story threads into the gameplay design, MIXI seems to have genuinely delivered on that promise.

“This event represents our continued efforts to create engaging and memorable experiences by blending anime that is popular both in Japan and overseas with our interactive gameplay.” — Shigeo Ogata, Producer, STRIKE WORLD

MIXI Is Betting Big on India

What makes this announcement particularly significant is that it’s not just a global rollout with India tacked on. MIXI has been actively building local presence — most recently by participating in Mumbai Comic Con, connecting with Indian gaming and anime communities through hands-on showcases and fan-first experiences.

This is a company that clearly sees India not as an aftermarket, but as a primary audience worth investing in. And with India’s anime fanbase growing faster than almost anywhere else in the world, that bet makes a lot of sense.

How to Not Miss Out

The event window is tight — May 8 to May 22 — so if you haven’t downloaded STRIKE WORLD yet, now is the time. Keep an eye on the official STRIKE WORLD website and their Instagram for any further collaboration announcements, because MIXI has confirmed more anime tie-ups are already in the pipeline.

If you’re already a STRIKE WORLD regular, this is the kind of event that rewards preparation. Study the new characters, build around their abilities, and don’t underestimate those bosses.
