Secrets, Layoffs, and Love — Our Happy Days Is the Feel-Good K-Drama Family Drama You Didn’t Know You Were Waiting For

Not every great K-drama needs a murder mystery or a chaebol love triangle. Sometimes, all it takes is an imperfect family trying its very best — and that’s exactly what KBS2’s Our Happy Days is bringing to the table starting March 30, 2026.

Our Happy Days Drama at a Glance

What Is Our Happy Days About?

Our Happy Days is a warm multi-generational family series centered on a tense clash between the world’s most perfect man and an endearingly clumsy woman — each striving to become the main character of their own life.

Think of it as a drama that celebrates ordinary people navigating messy, deeply human situations — the kind of story that makes you feel seen.

3 Reasons You’ll Be Hooked From Episode One

1. An Opposites-Attract Romance That’s Actually Layered

Go Gyeol (Yoon Jong Hun) and Jo Eun Ae (Uhm Hyun Kyung) are characters with completely opposite personalities who start as rivals and slowly grow fond of each other. Their love story is further complicated by Go Min Ho and Seo Seung Ri, whose jealousy triggers a chain of dramatic events that ripples through both families.

2. Veteran Actors Who Make Every Emotion Feel Real

A stellar lineup of veteran actors — including Kim Hye Ok, Sunwoo Jae Duk, Yoon Da Hoon, Moon Hee Kyung, Lee Sang Sook, and Jung Young Sook — bring the story’s joys and sorrows to life with subtle, heartfelt performances. Their presence gives the drama an emotional weight and authenticity that younger casts alone simply can’t deliver.

3. Hidden Secrets That Hit Close to Home

This is where Our Happy Days truly stands apart. Jo Eun Ae secretly hides from her family the fact that she lost her company, while Jo Sung Joon has spent nearly a year faking his daily commute after being laid off. These aren’t melodramatic plot twists — they’re the kinds of quiet, desperate secrets real people keep out of love and shame. That’s the emotional core of a great family drama done right.
