Samay Raina Finally Answers the Question Everyone’s Been Asking: Is He Dating Sharon Verma?

Sometimes the internet builds a whole love story out of nothing more than good on-screen chemistry. That’s exactly what happened with Samay Raina and Sharon Verma — until Samay decided to put the rumor mill to rest himself.

The speculation kicked off after playful banter between the two comedians on India’s Got Latent Season 2, where their easy chemistry had fans convinced there was something more going on behind the scenes.

Samay Raina Dating Rumor: Overview

How the Rumors Started

Sharon Verma, who first appeared as a contestant on India’s Got Latent Season 1, returned in Season 2 as a panelist alongside Orry and Archana Puran Singh. During one particular episode, her back-and-forth with Samay grabbed viewers’ attention — he took a jab at her Bihari roots, and she fired right back with a comment about his Kashmiri background. That kind of easy, teasing rapport is often enough to set dating rumors in motion on the internet, and this was no exception.

Samay Sets the Record Straight

The comedian addressed the speculation directly during a recent Instagram AMA, where he invited fans to ask “genuine questions only.” When someone asked point-blank whether he was dating Sharon Verma, Samay didn’t dodge it — he simply replied, “No brother, just internet doing its thing,” putting the matter to rest without much drama.

Not the First Time: The Medha Shankr Connection

This isn’t the first time Samay’s love life has become a topic of public curiosity. He’s also previously faced dating rumors involving actor Medha Shankr, who appeared as a panelist on the show alongside Varun Dhawan. Samay had referred to her as his “sabse acchi dost” (best friend) during that episode, and his noticeably softer tone around her only added fuel to speculation at the time.

Why India’s Got Latent Keeps Generating This Kind of Buzz

Part of what makes India’s Got Latent such fertile ground for rumors is its format — panelists and contestants share genuine, unscripted banter, and audiences naturally read into chemistry that’s often just good comedic timing. Even though Season 2 has drawn some criticism for feeling more filtered compared to its controversial first season, it continues to command a large, engaged audience, keeping its cast members firmly in the spotlight, gossip and all.
