Ryan Reynolds Confirms Deadpool Isn’t Done Yet — Here’s What He Revealed

Deadpool fans, breathe easy. Ryan Reynolds just confirmed the Merc with a Mouth isn’t hanging up his suit anytime soon.

Deadpool : Overview

The Confirmation

Speaking at Fanatics Fest, Reynolds teased that there are still meaningful storylines from the comics that haven’t made it to the big screen yet, hinting at rich, unexplored material worth adapting. He then confirmed plainly that another Deadpool film is on the way, though he stopped short of clarifying whether it would be a numbered sequel or a different Marvel project altogether.

A Different Approach This Time?

This isn’t the first time Reynolds has hinted at where he wants the character to go next. He’s previously suggested he’d rather see Deadpool folded into a larger ensemble instead of carrying another solo-focused film, a shift that could align with reports suggesting X-Men characters may feature prominently in whatever comes next. Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, riding high after their 2024 team-up, is also expected to return.

Could Deadpool Show Up in Avengers: Doomsday?

Speculation has linked Reynolds’ Deadpool to Avengers: Doomsday, though neither he nor Marvel Studios has confirmed it. The film brings Robert Downey Jr. back as Doctor Doom, alongside the Fantastic Four, New Avengers, and X-Men, and is currently set for a December 18, 2026 release.

What’s Next for Reynolds

Beyond the Deadpool universe, Reynolds has a packed slate ahead, including Mayday, Eloise, and a voice role in Animal Friends — keeping him busy while fans wait for official word on Wade Wilson’s next outing.
