Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition global launch expected soon after appearing on Google Play Console

The Chinese smartphone company, Redmi, looks set to launch its first hard-core gaming smartphone in the global market. The company introduced Redmi K40 Gaming Edition last month in the home country but now its looks like this might be unveiled on a global stage. This is because the smartphone has emerged in the database of Google Play Console.

For the Indian market, Redmi might launch this device as a POCO branded device. A few reports have suggested the name of this gaming handset to be POCO F3 GT. Though, there is no confirmation on these reports by the POCO India.

The Redmi K40 Gaming Edition flaunts a 6.67-inch OLED display with a centrally positioned punch-hole and it comes with a high refresh rate of 120 Hz. The screen resolution of the device is 1080 x 2400 pixels. The Redmi K40 Gaming Edition has IP53 rated dust and splash protection. They have a 440ppi pixel density.

It is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 1200 mobile processor and runs on MIUI 12.5 based Android 11 OS. The smartphone is paired up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of built-in storage. The front glass is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. It also supports JBL powered stereo speakers and a side-facing fingerprint scanner.

Interestingly, the smartphone has physical pop-up gaming shoulder buttons. In terms of optics, the device is well-equipped. It comes with a 64 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide lens, and a 2 MP macro camera.

For selfies and video chats, the smartphone offers a 16 MP camera on the front. The back camera module comes with RGB lighting. The smartphone houses a powerhouse 5,065 mAh battery cell and is paired with a 67W rapid charging support. Let’s see if the same device will be launched in the global markets or not.
