Bad news for budget shoppers: realme has just made its popular P4 lineup more expensive. If you’ve been eyeing the realme P4, P4x, or P4 Lite, you’ll want to check these new numbers before you add to cart.
Why the Sudden Price Bump?
Rising component costs have been squeezing budget smartphone makers all year, and realme is the latest to pass that pressure onto buyers. The hikes touch nearly every variant across the realme P4 series, with increases ranging from ₹500 to a steep ₹3,000 depending on the model.
It’s a pattern we’ve already flagged in our realme P4R 5G review, where rising costs were nudging the entire P-series toward pricier territory.

The flagship realme P4 5G — known for its 144Hz AMOLED display and 7,000mAh Titan Battery — takes the biggest hit at ₹3,000 across its top variants. The P4x and P4 Lite series get comparatively softer increases of ₹500–₹1,500.
Should You Still Buy It?
Even with the hike, the realme P4 5G remains competitive against rivals in the sub-₹30,000 bracket, especially with its MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra chip and gaming-friendly Hyper Vision AI chip. We compared similar trade-offs in our Galaxy A07 vs Realme P4x comparison, which is worth a read if you’re weighing budget 5G options right now.
That said, if you were on the fence, this is your cue to act fast. Retailers may still be selling old stock at the previous prices on platforms like Flipkart until inventory runs out — so don’t sleep on it.

The Bottom Line
The realme P4 series just got costlier by up to ₹3,000, with every model in the lineup affected. If budget 5G phones are on your radar, comparing current stock prices before they fully reflect the hike could save you real money.
