Realme C100x Launched in India: A Budget Phone Built to Survive Anything

Realme C100x Launched in India: Not every phone launch needs a flagship chipset to be interesting. Realme has expanded its budget C-series in India with the C100x, a 4G phone that skips the spec-sheet arms race entirely and bets everything on battery life and physical toughness instead.

Realme C100x: Price and Specifications

The Realme C100x is priced at ₹14,499 for its single 4GB RAM and 64GB storage configuration, available via Realme’s official India website, Flipkart, and select offline retail.

The Durability Claims Are the Real Story Here

Realme is leaning hard on longevity as the C100x’s selling point. The company claims the battery retains over 80% of its original capacity even after seven years of regular use, a bold number for a phone at this price point, backed by MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability certification and IP64 dust and splash resistance built into a reinforced ArmorShell chassis. For a phone that will likely see rough daily use, from delivery riders to first-time smartphone buyers, that combination of a huge battery and genuine physical toughness matters more than a faster processor would.

The software side gets a few smart, practical touches too: AI Outdoor Mode adjusts brightness and volume automatically, AI Netpilot works to stabilise signal in weak-network areas, and Google Gemini plus Circle to Search are natively accessible with a long-press of the power button, a level of AI integration that’s increasingly trickling down even to sub-₹15,000 phones.

Where It Fits in the Market

The Unisoc T7250 keeps the C100x firmly in entry-level territory on raw performance, and the 4GB RAM plus 64GB eMMC storage configuration is modest by 2026 standards. This is clearly a phone built for reliability and battery longevity over speed, competing less with performance-focused budget phones and more with other durability-first entries in the sub-₹15,000 bracket.

That trade-off, prioritising longevity and resilience over specs, is a pattern we’ve seen accelerate across the budget segment this year, something we’ve tracked in our coverage of Xiaomi and Redmi’s own battery-focused mid-range launches and the broader pricing pressure reshaping India’s entry-level smartphone market.

The Takeaway

The Realme C100x isn’t chasing benchmark charts. It’s chasing seven years of battery health and a phone that survives drops, dust, and daily abuse, all for ₹14,499. For buyers who value durability over speed, that’s a genuinely compelling pitch.
