Some trailers hit you right in the chest. This one does exactly that. The Irumudi trailer just dropped, and it’s less about action-hero heroics and more about something rawer — a father fighting to earn back his daughter’s trust, one hard step at a time.

Directed by Shiva Nirvana, the film stars Ravi Teja as a man whose struggle with alcohol addiction has quietly fractured his family. It’s an uncomfortable, honest starting point — his own daughter has grown afraid of him. And that’s exactly what makes his journey forward feel worth watching.

Irumudi: What “Irumudi” Is Bringing To Theaters

Detail	Info
Lead Actor	Ravi Teja
Director	Shiva Nirvana
Trailer Length	2 min 59 sec
Core Theme	A father’s redemption journey for his daughter
Release Date	August 21, 2026

To rebuild what’s broken, his character takes on a grueling 41-day vratham to visit the Ayyappa Temple in Sabarimala — a path of discipline meant to prove his devotion, not just to faith, but to his family. Along the way, he also runs headfirst into systemic injustice at his daughter’s school, adding another layer of conflict he has to navigate.

What makes “Irumudi” stand out isn’t spectacle — it’s sincerity. The trailer signals a story about a flawed man choosing, every single day, to become someone his daughter can trust again. That’s a theme that resonates far beyond the screen.
