“The management communicated a very exciting vision for the brand of football that they want to play and how I fit into it. I am eager to play a big part in bringing success to the club & I am grateful to the owners and management for showing faith in me. I cannot wait to get started and be on the right side of the Yellow Sea at Kaloor going forward! ”

Prabir Das is the second confirmed signing for Kerala Blasters this summer, having already signed Australian forward Jaushua Sotirio. The winger has played for several A-League clubs and is now the latest from down under to make the move to India.

Sotirio is a pacey and dynamic winger and could add a whole new dimension of attack when the new season begins. His arrival, alongside Prabir Das, sees the Kerala Blasters start their transfer business with the intent of making it to the playoffs once again.

And what of Bengaluru FC?

Having played for Bengaluru FC for one season, Prabir Das won the 2022/23 Durand Cup. He has also won the ISL title twice – once with ATK in 2016 and once with ATK Mohun Bagan in 2020. As a result, he brings with him a wealth of experience that could benefit Kerala Blasters in the coming season.

On the other hand, Bengaluru FC have extended the contract of talented Indian footballer Suresh Singh Wangjam for five more seasons until 2028 – confirming his stay for the long-term.
