Philips 27B1U7903 professional-grade display launched with 4K resolution, a Mini LED backlight, and a Thunderbolt 4 connector

The 34-inch Evnia curved gaming monitor from Philips, which has a 165Hz refresh rate and a WQHD resolution, was just released last week. This is the brand’s newest high-end professional monitor, which was just released.

With Mini LED backlights, Thunderbolt 4, and a 27-inch 4K panel, the Philips 27B1U7903 monitor is a powerful display. “The most local dimming zones in a 27-inch monitor,” according to the manufacturer, are found in this device, which has 2,304 dimming zones. 576 zones are included in most IPS monitors.

It has a maximum brightness of 1,400 cd/m2 and a typical contrast ratio of 1,300:1 when viewing HDR content. Instead, the monitor produces 1,000 cd/m2 when viewing images. The Philips 27B1U7903 is also DisplayHDR 1400 certified, guaranteeing that at least 95.6% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut is covered. The monitor should deliver 99.2% Adobe RGB coverage in addition to exceeding this standard by covering 97.2% of DCI-P3.

Since it is a professional monitor, it cannot support high refresh rates or quick response times. Instead, the monitor’s top speeds are 60 Hz and 4 ms.

A single Thunderbolt 4 port can deliver 90 W of power, along with data, upstream, and video, to a connected device. In a similar vein, Philips has only provided DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 connectors. A 3.5 mm jack, four USB 3.2 Type-A ports, and gigabit Ethernet are also included on the display. Right now, the Philips 27B1U7903 costs £1,199, VAT included.
