Huawei finally unveiled their new 7nm Kirin 980 chipset mobile processor that delivers up to 37% Better Performance than Snapdragon 845 at the IFA 2018

Huawei, the world’s second-biggest smartphone manufacturer, has made an amazing start to the IFA 2018. They have presented the world with the first 7nm architecture mobile processor.

The Kirin 980 processor is the company’s latest flagship that can deliver superior performance & efficiency. The processor is built around ARM’s Cortex-A76 CPU and Mali-G76 GPU

It is the first one with a Cat.21 smartphone modem supporting speeds up to 1.4Gbps, and the first chip to support 2,133MHz LPDDR4X RAM.

Improvements

Huawei compared their new flagship chipset with the latest and best processor by Snapdragon- the Snapdragon 845. The Kirin 980 solely beat the best Snapdragon 845 by 37% overall

In terms of memory, the Kirin 980 has 20 percent better bandwidth and 22 percent lower latency than the Snapdragon 845. This helps in faster app usage and app launch…

The major issue of power consumption is 32 percent lower than the Snapdragon 845 chipset. When it comes to gaming, the 980 has been shown to produce 22 percent higher frame rates than the 845.

Huawei has taken a giant leap by adding dual NPU(Neural Processing Unit) to the Kirin 980. This will result for the processor to handle AI-assisted image recognition tasks at a rate of 4,500 images per minute.

When this is compared to the fastest Snapdragon 845, it just gets 2,371 images per minute. On the other hand, Apple’s fastest A11 chip scores just 1,458.

By using a new dual ISP (image signal processor), the Kirin 980 is 46 percent faster at camera processing than its predecessor. Also, there’s 23 percent improvement in power efficiency while recording, and 33 percent improvement in latency.

Wi-Fi

With the new Kirin 980, the new age Huawei smartphones will be able to deliver the world’s fastest smartphone Wi-Fi speed, clocking in at 1,732Mbps. When its compared to Snapdragon 845’s speed, it has just 866Mbps with a Qualcomm modem.

Well, it seems with the 7nm architecture, the new Kirin 980 will drive a new age of performance for smartphones. The first usage of this amazing Kirin 980 will be made on to their flagship range of smartphones: Huawei Mate 20 series. The Mate 20 will make its way on 16th October in London.

Mariano Diaz gets the famous No. 7 shirt at Real Madrid

Real Madrid handed Cristiano Ronaldo and Raul Gonzalez’s historic number 7 shirt to Mariano Diaz. This is a huge gesture of their faith in the young striker on his return to the Bernabeu.

The 25-year-old left Real Madrid a year ago and joined Lyon in an €8 million deal. He has now returned to the Los Blancos on Thursday for a fee which almost trebled that. Real Madrid have spent €22 million (£20m) on re-signing the striker from Lyon.

Real Madrid signed Brazilian starlet Vinicius Junior from Flamengo. But the youngster was not fully ready for the rigours of a 60-game first-team season. So Lopetegui asked for extra back-up to first-choice forward pairing Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema.

Mariano has signed a five-year contract at Santiago Bernabeu. He becomes their first attacking signing since Ronaldo departed for Juventus earlier this summer. Mariano, meanwhile, has enjoyed a sterling start to his career. He scored 21 goals in 48 games at Lyon and was also part of the Real Madrdid squad that won La Liga and the Champions League in 2016-17. He made 8 appearances that season.

Sevilla were also interested in signing Mariano. But Real Madrid were able to beat their La Liga rivals by triggering their option to buy back the Dominican Republic international.

But can Mariano Diaz do justice to the famous No. 7 shirt?

Mariano will be wearing the number 7 shirt that was worn by club legends Cristiano Ronaldo, Raul Gonzalez and Emilio Butragueno.

Several players within Real Madrid’s squad had previously declined the opportunity to wear the number 7. Ronaldo enjoyed an incredible spell in the Spanish capital. The 33-year-old scored 450 goals in 438 games, and won a plethora of trophies. Ronaldo won two La Liga titles, two Copa del Reys, and four Champions League trophies, as well as two UEFA Super Cups, three FIFA Club World Cups and two Supercopa de Espanas.

Unfortunately, Mariano’s stats doesn’t do much favour to him. Scoring just 21 goals in a season isn’t enough to wear Real Madrid’s famous No. 7 shirt. But destiny may have its own plan. The No. 7’s of Real Madrid have always stand above the rest of the players. They have always been among the bests of the world. So Mariano must immediately step into the Portuguese’s sizeable shoes, having requested the No. 7 shirt, and show his worth to the world.

Mariano Diaz is back to the LaLiga giant Real Madrid

Mariano Diaz is back at the club as Real Madrid activates the Buy-back Clause

The European champions are set to re-sign the striker from Lyon, much to the fury of Sevilla, who had already agreed terms with the 25-year-old.

Having risen through the Blancos youth ranks but failed to secure a starting berth in the senior squad, the forward joined Lyon last July and enjoyed a stellar campaign in Ligue 1, netting 18 times in 34 outings.

Mariano’s fine form is set to earn him a rapid return to La Liga. Below, though, Goal explains why Sevilla is so upset that the 25-year-old is bound for the Santiago Bernabeu rather than the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan…

Mariano is under contract at Lyon until June 2022 but Goal understands that his move back to Madrid should be confirmed on Wednesday, just over a year after moving to France for a measly €8m.

Mariano Diaz is back to the Catalan giant REAL MADRID

Sevilla had been the frontrunners to sign the Spain-born forward who has been capped by the Dominican Republic, having agreed on a €35million deal with Lyon.

However, as part of the transfer that original transfer, Real Madrid retained not only 35 percent of Mariano’s playing rights, they also included a buy-back option giving them the right to re-sign the player if they matched any future bid for his services.

Check out: Vincius Jr. joins Real Madrid

As a result, the European champions will only have to pay €23m (£20m/$26m) to bolster a forward line still reeling from the shock loss of all-time record goalscorer Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus with an attacker who struck 21 times
in all competitions last term.

Mariano Diaz is back to the Catalan giant REAL MADRID

Unsurprisingly, though, Sevilla are unimpressed, with club president Jose Castro claiming on Monday that Mariano had given him his word that he was going to sign for the Rojiblancos.

The Negotiation

“Real Madrid has a buy option they are going to exercise” he lamented. “But we still have no communication from the player, who has told us that he wanted to play with Sevilla again and again. He has the ability to say one thing or
another.”

Mariano Diaz is back to the Catalan giant REAL MADRID

“We negotiated with Lyon and then they have 48 hours to decide. Real Madrid did it. Are we annoyed with Real Madrid? Not at all, this is football. We have to keep working. We have done what we had to do, in good
faith, with an agent and a player who tells us on videos and audios that he only wants to play in Sevilla.”

Much like the transfer of Alvaro Morata to Juventus. He was sold on in 2014 with a buy-back clause in the contract, which was later activated by Madrid for €30m and he was brought back to the club in 2016, only to be sold in permanently again in 2017 to Chelsea for a mammoth €70m.

Quite interestingly, Lyon has confirmed the sale of Mariano Díaz to Real Madrid for €33m + €3m in add-ons.

Swapna Barman Wins Gold In Women’s Heptathlon

0

Swapna Barman wins India’s 150th gold medal at the Asian Games.

Swapna Barman bags a gold in the women’s heptathlon! That’s the second gold medal for the day 11. Swapna got the gold with a good 800m finish, but an excellent javelin throw outing, that included a personal best, seems to have won it for Swapna. In the final race, she had to pip China and she did it in style.

Born in Jalpaiguri, West Bengal. Her mother Basana worked on a tea estate. Her father Panchanan Barman, was a rickshaw driver and is bed ridden after having suffered a stroke in 2013. She uses her prize money to look after her family who live in a house without a concrete wall. In 2016 she won a scholarship of Rs. 1.5 Lakhs in recognition of the success she had at athletics. She currently trains at the Sports Authority of India campus at Kolkata.

Swapna Barman recorded a personal best of 50.63m in javelin throw in the heptathlon event at the Asian Games 2018.

Highlights Swapna made during the event:

  1. Swapna Barman broke through the 6000-point mark and reached 6026 points.
  2. Swapna recorded a gold medal for India in the gruelling heptathlon event
  3. She had 5218 point on aggregate after the six events

Swapna Barman fought off a tough and a stiff challenge from the neighbour Chinese’s Wan Qingling to claim gold in the heptathlon event with an aggregate of 6026 points, which is also a landmark as she crossed the 6000-point mark in the event. Swapna was ahead of Wang Qingling at the end of the penultimate event the javelin throw, which was completed on Tuesday. Barman had 5218 point on aggregate after the six events, while Wang was still on 5155, the minor difference of 63 points promising a keen finish to the event as both athletes had pretty close personal best times in the 800 metres, which was the climax of the event.

Wang had been leading after the initial events of the heptathlon but Swapna was in great form in the javelin throw. She was also in great form in the shot put, in spite of suffering from a toothache which required her to wear a medical bandage on her jaw.
