Manchester City is the favourite to win the 2018-19 UEFA Champions League

The favourite for the 2018-19 UEFA Champions League comes as a surprise. It’s not Real Madrid or Barcelona or Juventus. It’s Manchester City, according to the bookies.

The UEFA Champions League gets underway on Tuesday. And the group stage draws have some fantastic clashes.

How will Paris Saint-Germain cope on an electric European night at Anfield? Will Cristiano Ronaldo score on his return to Old Trafford? And who will prevail in that Group of Death containing Barcelona, Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund? There are many questions in our mind right now.

But the most important question going on in our mind now is that who will win the UCL?

The bookmakers have answered this question right now. They have backed Manchester City to win this season’s UEFA Champions League. Despite the fact they’ve never won the UCL or even made it to the final before. Pep Guardiola’s Premier League champions are 9/2 favourites to win European club football’s biggest prize.

It’s a saying you never see a broke bookie and when it comes to football forecasting, they get it right more often than not. Last season, Real Madrid were priced at 4/1 favourites to win the Champions League. And they successfully completed a hattrick of UCL trophies.

Barcelona are second on the list at 6/1. Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Turin has seen Juventus well backed. The Italian champions have contested two of the last four finals in this competition. And they are priced at 13/2 by some bookmakers while some are also hailing Juventus as the co-favourites. But the question is can Ronaldo, the top scorer of UCL, rediscover his magic for his new side?

Paris Saint-Germain are at 7/1. PSG were all the rage last year and the Ligue 1 side went into the last 16 draw as favourites. They dominated their group but came unstuck against the eventual winners in the first knockout phase. Despite still having plenty to prove on this stage, the club that can boast both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in attack.

Title Holders Real Madrid are priced at 8/1 to make it four Champions Leagues in a row. After Zinedine Zidane left the club and also the competition’s leading scorer joing Juventus, it’s no surprise to see Real Madrid a little further back in the betting.

While 2013 winners Bayern Munich are priced at 10/1. Last year’s finalists Liverpool are at 12/1, same as Atletico Madrid. But interestingly, the bookies reckon Spurs (20/1) have a better chance of winning the UEFA Champions League than Manchester United (28/1).

But among the top 4, Barcelona is probably the best bet. They have a complete squad this time, though they lost Iniesta. At 6/1 it could well be Barcelona’s year.

Cristiano Ronaldo finally opens his goals tally for Juventus with a brace against Sassuolo

1

Cristiano Ronaldo is up and running for Juventus. He ended his 320 minute wait for his first Serie A goals by scoring a brace against Sassuolo.

Juventus have won their first three games and led Serie A with nine points heading into Sunday’s match against Sassuolo. But Ronaldo, five-times World Player of the Year, had yet to hit the back of the net since his move from Real Madrid in July. The Portuguese superstar secured a €100 million (£89m/$116m) move to Turin over the summer. He opted to bring his nine-year stint with Real Madrid to an end.

Ronaldo finally found the back of the net in his 4th Seria A outing. A Sassuolo defender headed the ball against his own post. And the rebound left the Portugal forward with an empty net to open his account for the Old Lady. His effort from close range was his 28th shot on goal since joining Juventus. And it opened the floodgates.

Just over 10 minutes after scoring his first goal for Juventus, Ronaldo scored his second. His opener was a little scruffy. But the five-times Ballon d’Or winner looked more like his usual self when hitting the net again. But Ronaldo missed two easy chances, by his standard, to deny himself a hattrick.

There was late drama as Khouma Babacar pulled a goal back for Sassuolo. Douglas Costa was also sent off. He spitted and elbowed a Sassuolo player. He is likely to be punished further. But Juventus held on for a 2-1 win.

The goals will come as a relief to Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri. He had stuck his neck out ahead of the match and predicted that Ronaldo would find the net against Sassuolo.

Cristiano Ronaldo found his form back just before the match against Valencia in the UCL. It is a relief for Juventus, but a nightmare for their opponents as the UCL has always been about Ronaldo in the last few years.

In the very last 14th, July  MI User Interface was launched. Though, a huge number of handsets does not get it yet.

If you are looking for MIUI Details, you have to know what it actually is. So 👇

🚩 What is MIUI?

MIUI stands for MI User Interface, as I maintained before. This is nothing but a Firmware for smart-phones based on Android Operating System introduced by Xiaomi.

🚩 What MIUI do?

MIUI is quite similar to a Launcher. It creates a layer over the Android OS and provides some extra features(Gestures, Themes etc) not available in the OS.

Now, its time for the Features…

🚩 Features you get in MIUI 10

Full-Screen Experience: MIUI 10 removes all elements that could break the visual integrity of a full-screen device.

Full-Screen Gestures: It introduced four new unique gesture to Go to Home Screen, Open Recent Apps, Go Back and to Switch between Apps.

New Notification Shade: It removes all unnecessary UI elements and visual clutter from the Notification shade to let the content take the front stage.

Unique Recent Screen: MIUI 10 gifts us a totally new and much handier Recent Screen Style. All the Recent Apps are served into two side by side queue format.

Improved App

Launching Speed: All the installed apps launched faster than the previous versions.

AI Portrait Mode: MIUI 10 helps you to bring the Portrait Effect even in Single Camera. Now no need dual camera for Portrait.

Though MIUI 10 launches almost a month ago, a lot of handsets are left to get it.

We hope everyone will get the chance to avail of this Stylish New Features very soon.

FIFA 19 : All you need to know

FIFA 19 officially goes on sale on 28th September. But the fans across all consoles can test the new game on the demo right now.

Anticipation for the game is at a high. Especially considering EA Sports have spent the past week announcing their top 100 players. For the 1st time in years, they have made Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as the joint-top rated players with 94 rating.

When you can get your hands on the FIFA 19 demo?

The demo will be released on Thursday, 13th September. You will be able to download it on PC, Xbox One and PS4.

Which teams you can play with in the demo version?

Like previous editions, the fans are given the chance to play a kick-off match with one of the 9 sides:

  • Atletico Madrid
  • Borussia Dortmund
  • Bayern Munich
  • Juventus
  • Manchester City
  • Manchester United
  • Paris Saint-Germain
  • Real Madrid
  • Tottenham Hotspur

Which stadiums are there in the demo version?

To celebrate FIFA’s expansion into the wonderful world of La Liga this season, the two playable stadiums in the demo will be Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu and Atletico Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano.

What are the features that make FIFA 19 stand out among the previous versions?

FIFA 19 promises some cool new features. Lets have a look at them

The new gaming modes :

From this year, in addition to Classic Kick-Off, there will be five new match types to choose from in the full game.

UEFA Champions League
House Rules
Best Of Series
Home & Away
Cup Finals

UEFA Champions League is basically Classic Kick-Off but with all the fancy graphics, overlays and atmosphere from FIFA’s new tie-in with Europe’s elite club competition. EA Sports have the video game rights for the UEFA Champions League this season.

Best of Series is a mode which lets players play a series of three or five matches to determine the overall winner.

Home & Away is a two-legged tie decided by the aggregate score from the two games.

Cup Finals allows you to choose from a number of real life cup finals. Such as the Champions League Final, Europa League Final, FA Cup Final, and others. It will include the official kits, badges, match balls, and authentic broadcast overlays.

House Rules is the place where the things really get interesting. If you’ve ever found the rules of football too boring or constrictive, FIFA 19 allows you to throw the rule book out of the window. You can now play matches with no offsides, fouls or bookings, or where only goals scored with a header or a volley count. There’s also Survival Mode in which your team loses a player every time you score a goal. And First to … where the winner is the first team to score three goals, for example

The increased realism :

Every year fans wonder whether the FIFA series changes enough to warrant a new version, with some always suggesting a big update to the current game including transfers, kit changes and league alterations. But it is the little changes which make the world of difference with every passing game, and in FIFA 19 it is no different.

One of the complaints in the past has been the players’ realistic reaction, or lack of, to things which normal people would. Such as receiving a ball to the face or nether regions. Well, no more complaints. FIFA 19 has improved on the realism so gamers can watch their player go down after being hit in the face with a ball on a cold, wet, windy night in Stoke. Though the we’ll only get the experience of the Bet365 Stadium once the full game is out.

50/50 battles improving the midfield :

In the past few editions of the FIFA series, we have seen improvement to defence and attack. But now the middle of the pitch is latest to go under the knife.

FIFA 19 has come with smarter AI. Players are more coherent and aggressive in the manner in which they try to win the ball from you. The new 50/50 Battles adds physicality into the game. We will see players more likely to stick a leg out to try and intercept a ball going past them rather than just watching as you move it about. This makes the midfield a lot more important to the team, as they will be able to stop attacks before they reach the defensive line, cutting out passing lanes in a better way than they had in the past – even if the best passing option was chosen.

Increased importance of tactics :

Some of us are serial tinkerers when it comes to tactics on FIFA. While others will stick with the default formation and barely make any changes as the game goes on – regardless of the result. While the latter have always been able to fulfil their wishes, with no requirements to make changes apart from when a player is injured. Those who wanted more instant control over their tactics have finally got what they wanted.

Now, as part of the team management screen, players can set specific tactics to use in certain situations. These options replace the default ‘ultra defensive’, ‘defensive’, ‘attacking’ and ‘ultra attacking’ choices in nature, though not name.

Want to switch to two banks of five at the push of a button mid-match in the Champions League final? Now you can. Want to throw eight players at your opponents to try and push for a goal to secure safety from relegation? You can do so without even pausing the game.

Revamped shooting gives more control :

Though the midfield has got some improvements this year, finishing has once again been beefed given players more control of their shots on goal. With new Timed Finishing, players can turn a normal shot into one capable of beating the best goalkeepers in the game with ease 99 times out of 100.

Rather than pressing the shoot button just once, an extra tap – which needs to be timed perfectly – will add more power and accuracy to the effort. This comes at a risk, however, with a tap either too early or too late being detrimental to your shot, almost always guaranteeing a miss. Though some may not wish to tempt fate, sticking to what they know, for the best FIFA players this will be just another way to take control and put themselves ahead of the rest.

One button control for a random goal celebration :

We can now press one button (circle on PlayStation 4) to have our goalscorer perform a random celebration. This is a fantastic addition for a number of reasons. It should mix things up while playing online. We are sick of seeing the same troll celebration whenever we concede a goal playing FIFA online. Hopefully the draw of being able to trigger a random celebration will be too hard to resist for most.

A new indicator showing the next switched player :

Another nice addition for FIFA 19 is the game now has an indicator that tells us which player we’ll switch to if we press the switch player button. This appears above the player’s head. It’s a feature nicked from PES, but a welcome one all the same. (We can turn this off in settings, by the way.)

The Journey :

The demo will also allow us to renew our acquaintance with Alex Hunter and play the first chapter of what will be the third and final instalment of The Journey.

The full version of FIFA 19 doesn’t come out until 28th September. But for the next couple of weeks, you can get up to speed with the new game by taking the demo version for a spin.

Xiaomi’s Huami Amazfit IoT smartwatch with Xiao Assistant to launch in China on September 17

3

Xiaomi Amazfit IoT smartwatch launches in China on September 17.

Huami is the subsidiary of the tech company Xiaomi. Huami did not rise to fame like Xiaomi did and hence still remains a subsidiary of Xiaomi. It has scheduled a launch event on the upcoming 17th September 2018 in China. Huami has posted an official invitation on the company’s Weibo handle.

Xiaomi Amazfit IoT Smartwatch

The invite reads, “Amaze the Life, Fit the Future.” Huami has been very secretive about its products which are to be launched.

Even though the Chinese firm has announced the launch event, they have yet not specified anything about their upcoming products. The upcoming Xiaomi Amazfit IoT smartwatch looks very promising. However, the earlier smart smartwatches by Huami had an ugly looking design. But the new smartwatch has a sporty look.

The dial of the watch is made of plastic and comes with an orange coloured home button. The company has named their new watch an IoT smartwatch It will be priced at 1199 Yuan or approximate Rs 12,575 ($175). Even though the company has not confirmed anything about the watch’s features, it is expected that the users can control their smart devices using this Amazfit smartwatch. A couple of months back, Xiaomi also launched a fitness tracker that can control devices running on Mijia platform.

It is also expected that the upcoming Amazfit smartwatch will control only the Mijia products. It will also be equipped with Xiao AI or Xiaomi’s voice assistant for the Chinese market. Since it is priced at a really low price, it is unlikely that any company would offer LTE support to make it completely work as a standalone device.
