East Bengal hopeful of joining ISL with new investors after Quess prematurely terminates contract

East Bengal has terminated their tie-up with Quess Corporation, who had a 70 per cent stake in the club. They had a three-year deal but the Bengaluru-based investors prematurely pulled out on 31st May.

The Kolkata-based club is now looking for new investors and is reportedly getting help from the West Bengal government. They are hoping to play in the ISL like their city-rivals Mohun Bagan, who merged with ATK. But whatever East Bengal decide, they have to do it quickly by the middle of next month.

AIFF will send the club licensing agreement as per norm to all clubs by the first week of July, for them to sign and return it back by the middle of next month. This procedure is a must for all Indian Super League (ISL) and I-League clubs as they have to comply with club licensing criteria to take part in AIFF competitions.

An official from the club said that that East Bengal is in advanced talks with an investor with help from the West Bengal government. He told: “The government is helping out in roping in an investor and it’s at an advanced stage. We will announce it when everything is finalised.”

Jadavpur MLA Sujan Chakraborty also wrote a letter to chief minister Mamata Banerjee to facilitate the move in order to help the century-old club join the country’s top-flight, Indian Super League (ISL). The CM has already taken up the matter with the All India Football Federation President Praful Patel.

The East Bengal official further said: “We are very grateful for Sujanda’s support. Both the West Bengal government and East Bengal are very, very hopeful to join the ISL from next season.”

East Bengal finished runners-up in the 2018-19 I-League, but their performance dipped in the 2019-2020 season, finishing second best to their arch-rivals Mohun Bagan.

Mohun Bagan has merged with ATK and will play in the ISL from 2020-21 season. East Bengal are also doing everything in their hands to find a new investor who will help them in playing in the ISL from the coming season.

Previously, all the Amazon Echo Device holders have access to reach gaana, Hungama Music, Apple Music, Jio Savan, and more via their voice assistant. Tesla Chief executive officer Elon Musk has publically called Amazon Founder and CEO Jeff Bezos copycat after the e-commerce giant declared to buy self-driving car company Zoox pegged at more than $1 billion.

Tesla is known for its innovative cars and it has made a huge progress in the automotive industry, thanks to its CEO Elon Musk who founded and operates a lot of companies including Tesla and SpaceX. Tesla is making great progression in self-driving cars and we all know that.

So, Amazon has acquired the California headquartered Zoox to counter Tesla. The company is implementing the most recent in automotive, robotics and renewable energy to design a symmetrical, bi-directional, zero-emission vehicle from the ground up to solve the specific challenges of autonomous liberty. 

Zoox even settled a lawsuit with Tesla in April after admitting that some new employees it hired out of Tesla owned documents when they combined Zoox. Tesla had filed a lawsuit in March of last year against Zoox and four former employees. Previously this month, Elon Musk has slammed Blue Origin and Amazon Founder Bezos, stating it’s time to break up the e-commerce giant and end its monopoly.

Even though the SpaceX founder has tweeted a lot about Bezos but the world’s richest man has never answered back as such. Obviously this is a strategical move by Amazon, who largely requires vehicles for delivery and transport, now owning a company like Zoox will help them make their delivery autonomous as we know Amazon is trying hard to use AI and IoT to makes things easier and profitable to the company at the end of the day.

Huawei is building $1.25 billion Cambridge Research facility

Huawei is going to build its research facility in the United Kingdom. It got a green signal from the Country government last week. The decision is taken considering the engagement of this Chinese company in 5G technology.

The $1.25 billion research facility, which will be nine-acre wide, will be the international headquarters of Huawei’s fiber-optic communication business in the future. As per the Chinese brand, this project will generate 400 new jobs in those regions.

The United Kingdom come up with a new scrutiny report of the company just after four months of shrugging off the US’s objection by the UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and granting Huawei to contribute to the development of the super-fast 5G wireless network.

Realme seems to launch a new smartphone with 5G connectivity in Europe. Realme Europe tweeted today in a short promo video which only said that it will come with 5G connectivity and the device is coming soon. There is no more information shared by the company. The company has also told us to guess what is going to be launched. So one of the tipsters retweeted the tweet hinting that it is going to be the Realme X50, X50t, and X50m. It is still not sure what is the official product that is going to be launched but we can guess it is a smartphone and maybe the base versions of the Realme X50 series.

Recently Realme X50t has been spotted in several certifications. The name suggested by Realme is still not understood by us, the naming of the devices is unique and does not go with the specifications they feature. We hope to understand mode about the naming of the company with more devices to launch in a row.

China’s 3C certification website reveals that the Realme X50t will be a 5G device with a 30W fast charging technology. Mizoram will have 16 FIFA certified artificial turfs

India is gradually growing into a football nation. Apart from a cricketing country, India is making a name in the football world as well. The inception of ISL has also done many goods to India’s footballing dreams.

Northeast India is known for its football crazy people. Mizoram is one such state. They have produced many professional footballers. They have now gone one step further to build 16 FIFA certified artificial turfs in order to help the players.

Mizoram Sports Minister and President of Aizawl FC, Robert Royte paid a visit and inspected the ongoing construction of Sports Authority of India (SAI) sports academy at Kolasib’s Saidan and the laying of artificial turf at the football ground there. He was accompanied by Supply Minister and Kolasib MLA K Lalrinliana and Serlui MLA Lalrinsanga Ralte on Saturday.

Royte confirmed that the artificial turf, which is being laid at the SAI academy ground at Saidan, was certified by FIFA and is on the verge of completion.

Robert Royte added: “We’ll be making 16 new football pitches across the Mizoram state with artificial turfs which is a record in the country and we are doing it in one go.”

“The aim is to make the stadium accessible and available for all the sporting talents across the state and we are building these turfs in the rural areas and I, as a minister, have decided to make sure that the pitches are tested and each of them is of FIFA quality. Some grounds will have galleries too.”

“Absence of football grounds is the main problem of Mizoram. I want to make the stadium accessible, available and affordable to the people,”

He indicated that all the grounds are constructed as part of a project sponsored by the central government. With the infrastructure being made available, it will have a huge effect on football in the Northeast.

Oppo Watch passed FCC and appeared in live images

A mysterious watch with model number OW19W12 has been spotted in the FCC certification last time. Recently the watch surfaced with live images where it looks more like the Apple Watch. This Oppo watch is supposed to launch in the second half of the year.

The images leaked show the design, strap, and charging point of the smartwatch. However, the FCC’s description suggests that the Oppo Watch will be sold on the Amazon US website. “Purchase on Amazon: OPPO Watch”. Clicking on the link takes you to an Amazon.com search for “Oppo Watch”, which does not exist on Amazon (US) at the moment.

We know that the smartwatch will be available in two different sizes – 41mm and 46mm. The images shown in the tweet has a scale placed beside the watch which indicates the measure and it can be clearly seen for the 46mm watch.

The Oppo Watch arrived in China a few months ago with a 1.9-inch display and the displays glass curves at the sides. Internally, the Watch is powered by the Snapdragon 2500 Wear mobile platform, along with 8GB of ROM, and supports a cellular connection via eSIM.It arrived with a  custom OS.

In China it is available for ~$282 (CNY 1999).
