Juventus punished with a 15-point deduction after an investigation into their transfers

After an investigation into their financial transactions, the national soccer federation (FIGC) docked Juventus 15 points. The announcement came on Friday after an Italian court’s investigation. 

Fabio Paratici, the club’s former owner, who’s presently at Tottenham Hotspur, has got a 30-month ban.

As per the investigation, the club executive falsified financial accounts between 2018 and 2020. Juventus currently stands in third place on the Serie A scoreboard but with 37 points but with a 15 points deduction, it will drop to 11th place with 22 points. As it signifies, Juventus will stand with Bologna and Empoli in that case. 

Fabio Paratici has been banned for 2.5 years, and Andrea Agnelli has been disqualified for two years. The CEO, Maurizio Arrivabene, has also been imposed with a two-year suspension, while former vice chairman Pavel Nedved is suspended for eight months. 

As of now, Paratici’s suspension is only limited to FIGC-related activities. The ban isn’t eligible for England, but there’s a request to extend it to all UEFA and FIFA remits.

The club denies any unethical activities

Juventus object and wrongdoing and states that its accounting adheres to the industry standards, but they admit certain salary misinterpretations “may be subject to different interpretations.”

There’s room for appeal, but the current issue is with the Club Financial Control Body First Chamber’s reaction. Last year in August, they settled with Juventus over potential breaches of the Club Licensing and FFF rules. 

The club’s financial state was different as analyzed by CFCB First Chamber during that time of the settlement. 

The appeal process is available for all punishments, and this case isn’t an exception either.

Goa are expecting that they can rely on the former India international, Rodrigues, fill the end of the season. On the other hand, Martins will be expected to provide a physical presence in the centre of the park. 

Joni Kauko is ruled out for a long time for the Mariners, and Ferrando could use a physical presence in the middle of the park to help his side. Glan Martins has flourished before under Ferrando, and could find his best form yet again under the head coach once they reunite. 

Rodrigues is expected to be in Goa today, and will soon be training with FC Goa to make his comeback on the pitch.

So, Everton has now decided to sack Frank Lampard with immediate effect, as confirmed by Daily Mail.

Frank Lampard has now been sacked two consecutive times in his short managerial career. He managed to save Everton from getting relegated last season and also started this season brightly as they lost just two of their first eight matches but their fortunes turned around drastically and now they are on the verge of getting relegated.

The 44-year-old’s stay at Goodison Park will not be remembered fondly as he has won just 12 of his 44 games in charge of the club and lost 23 matches, which makes his win percentage a mere 27 percent.

Who will be the next Everton manager?

Former Tottenham Hotspur and PSG manager, Mauricio Pochettino can be one of the leading candidates. Along with him, former Wolverhampton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur manager, Nuno Espirito Santo can be a possible candidate for the job to replace Lampard. He is currently managing the Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad. Also, former Burnley manager Sean Dyche can make it into the possible list.

However, Everton legend Leighton Baines, Under 18 head coach and Paul Tait, Under 21 head coach, is expected to take charge of Goodison Park until the club appoints a new manager.

The Stocks and Securities Limited informed the higher authorities that the manager was engaged in fraud which initialized the investigation. After a few days, Bolt’s attorneys said that the account balance dipped from $12.8 million to $12,000. The inquiries also suggest that some of the senior clients have been cheated as well as per Finance Minister Nigel Clarke. The commission on January 12 prohibited the company from making any transactions without consent. Bolt’s attorneys further added that they’ll take civil and criminal action if the money isn’t returned by next week.

As per reports, Usain Bolt created an account with SSL in 2012and his last withdrawal was on January 16. He invested under $10 million but now he’s left with $12,000.

Further evidence in Dani Alves‘ sexual assault case has emerged in the form of security camera footage from the private bathroom of a nightclub. The former Pumas right-back has been accused of rape by a 23-year-old in Barcelona and he is currently serving time in prison since Friday. 

According to the complainant, Alves forced the girl to “sit on top of him, threw her to the floor, forced her to perform fellatio on him, which she actively resisted, slapped her, lifted her off the floor and penetrated her until he ejaculated,” according to quotes carried by Marca. 

Dani Alves could be handed formal punishment after security camera footage emerges 

The defender first said that he did not know the girl, and then said that he might have seen her but nothing hapoened. Later, he said that she threw herself onto him. He also said that he was in the club for a very short amount of time, and that nothing happened in there. 

The victim has denied any offers for compensation by the player, and her demands are that he must serve time in prison. 

Dani Alves’ former teammate, Xavi Hernandez, commented on the issue and later clarified his statement on the matter after receiving some criticism for his words: 

“It’s difficult to comment on a situation like this. I am surprised and shocked. I am in a state of shock. Justice will rule whatever it is, we can’t go in. I feel very bad for him. I’m shocked,” Xavi said in the first instance.

“I would like to clarify what I said yesterday about Alves. I was misunderstood and I wasn’t forceful and I think it’s important that I explain myself,” Xavi explained in his post-match press conference.

“It’s a very sensitive and important issue. We have to condemn all these acts, whoever does it. I apologize to the victim and to the victims of sexual violence.

“I am surprised that Dani could have done any of these things. I understand the criticism and I apologize.”
