Design & Build Quality

The design of the OnePlus 12, particularly the Flowy Emerald variant, is nothing short of mesmerizing. The green marble-like finish on the rear glass sets it apart from other smartphones in the market. At just 220 grams, the weight distribution is meticulously done, making it comfortable for day-to-day use. The elegant design, combined with practical usability, means the OnePlus 12 isn’t just a pretty face—it’s built for everyday functionality.

Display

The OnePlus 12 boasts one of the industry’s brightest displays, peaking at 4500 nits. This 2K 120Hz ProXDR Display ensures vibrant and crisp visuals, thanks to the advanced LTPO technology that enhances battery efficiency. Transitioning from Samsung to BOE for the display, OnePlus has managed to keep the screen sharp with a 510 ppi OLED panel. Whether gaming or binge-watching, the display consistently delivers high-quality visuals, making it one of the best screens available.

Performance

Powered by the Snapdragon® 8 Gen 3 processor, the OnePlus 12 offers elite performance. Paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage, the device handles everyday tasks and heavy gaming sessions smoothly. The OxygenOS 14, based on Android 14, enhances the overall experience with fluid animations and seamless multitasking. Whether you’re a casual user or a power user, the OnePlus 12 won’t disappoint.

Camera

One of the most significant improvements in the OnePlus 12 is its camera system. The 50MP Sony’s LYT-808 primary sensor with a 1/1.4″ size and ƒ/1.6 aperture delivers reliable performance in various lighting conditions. The addition of the OmniVision OV64B periscope camera elevates the zoom capabilities, making it a strong contender for 2024.

The Sony IMX581 ultra-wide camera benefits from ProXDR tuning, offering stunning shots with improved optimization. The camera system is now more reliable and consistent, addressing previous complaints about inconsistency.

Battery Life

The 5400 mAh battery in the OnePlus 12 ensures you can use the device all day without needing to recharge. It offers over 6 hours of screen-on-time, making it suitable for most users. The 100W SUPERVOOC charging powers the device in less than half an hour, while the 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging is a game-changer, charging the phone wirelessly in under an hour. The Battery Health Engine ensures longevity, maintaining battery health over the years.

Connectivity and Audio

OnePlus has gone all out with connectivity options in the OnePlus 12. The device supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth® 5.4, and NFC, making it versatile for work and play. The 5G connectivity performs exceptionally well with Indian carriers like Jio, offering blazing-fast speeds. The Dolby Atmos stereo speakers deliver top-notch audio quality, making it a pleasure to listen to music or watch videos.

Conclusion

The OnePlus 12 is a well-rounded smartphone that excels in design, display, performance, camera, battery life, connectivity, and audio. It sets a new standard for flagship devices, offering a balanced and powerful user experience.
