The God Valley Incident Returns

The spoilers for One Piece chapter 1156 hint that Xebec, Roger, and Garp might clash which could give us the God Valley Incident flashback. This legendary battle has been one of the most anticipated reveals in One Piece history, and fans are finally getting answers.

Rocks D. Xebec plans to overthrow the World Government, setting up the conflict that would shape the pirate world for decades to come. The chapter reveals how the Roger Pirates once confronted the Kuja Pirates because Gol D. Roger wanted to take Shakuyaku with them, adding another layer to the complex relationships of that era.

Why a Luffy-Blackbeard Alliance Makes Sense

The theory of a temporary alliance between Monkey D. Luffy and Marshall D. Teach isn’t just fan speculation – it’s rooted in solid narrative foundation. Here’s why it could happen:

Shared Enemy: Imu-sama

With the revelation of Imu as the true ruler of the World Government, both pirates have a common enemy. If Oda follows through with what One Piece chapter 1156 suggests, Blackbeard and Luffy could form a temporary alliance to defeat Imu, after which they will fight each other.

Historical Precedent

The chapter draws parallels to other legendary team-ups in manga history. This would be similar to Naruto and Sasuke’s battle against Kaguya Otsutusuki, where the two ninjas put aside their differences for the greater good.

The Will of D Connection

Both characters carry the mysterious “D” initial, and with Blackbeard’s connection to Rocks D. Xebec now confirmed, there’s a deeper thread connecting their destinies.

What This Means for the Final Saga

The potential alliance between Luffy and Blackbeard could reshape everything we know about One Piece’s endgame. This development suggests that the final battle isn’t just about finding the One Piece treasure – it’s about overthrowing a system that has oppressed the world for centuries.

The Three-Way Dynamic

Instead of a simple Luffy vs. Blackbeard finale, we might see:

Phase 1: Luffy + Blackbeard vs. World Government/Imu
Phase 2: Luffy vs. Blackbeard for the ultimate prize
Phase 3: The true meaning of the One Piece revealed

This structure would allow Oda to address both the political themes and the personal rivalry that have been building throughout the series.

Fan Reactions and Theories

The One Piece community is divided on this potential alliance. While some fans are excited about the narrative possibilities, others worry it might diminish Blackbeard’s role as Luffy’s ultimate nemesis.

However, this development actually enhances both characters. It shows Luffy’s ability to see the bigger picture and Blackbeard’s pragmatic nature when faced with a greater threat.
